What I like about Milton, is not only is he very funny but he actually has the balls to get up and say his material. He knows some of it's basic, corny and almost child like but it works. A lot of comedians try to be too cutting edge and topical. Milton is a legend.
Yes defo. He's often childish, but also very clever. But most of all he really makes me laugh, more than most comedians. Well that's my theory. Thanks for reply.
Milton preformed at my birthday party a couple of years ago, my family all said it would be a complete shambolics, turned out to be a real......ly good night.
They weren't encouraged to do so. Its typical British panto culture when someone says something sad you saw awh. Its just ingrained in the culture thats why they all did it.. it was an interesting idea, but wrong.
I love it when he repeats the theme of a previous joke and he then he pauses so the audience takes a second to realise 🤣 like with the shampoo and shamrock🤣
*_Sunday Night at the Palladium_* (S1, Ep6; OCT 19, 2014) London Palladium Theatre Host: Rob Bryden Performers: Neil Diamond, Paloma Faith, Texas, Milton Jones, Daniel Sloss.
1:28 Some Welsh peoples accents mean they say "See" at the end of every sentence. So "This is my fantasy" could be 'translated' to "This is my Fanta see"" Fanta is the name of a fizzy orange juice in the UK. HTH
Yeh, I'm not British* and it's not a brand here, so I just googled _Andre_ (using voice recognition cause I'm slightly dislexic) and then just added _x_ to the end. *It's only sold in Britain and Hong Kong under that name… it's Kleenex in a lot of markets, although it has a bunch of different names in individual European countries, not that it's getting exportedv there much these days…
@@casbot71 We get Kleenex in Britain, but it's the tissue paper, for blowing your nose, seems like Andrex over there is called Cottonelle(Under the Kleenex brand)
Traditionally British schools are run by a Headmaster usually known as "The head", the second in charge is usually a Deputy Headmaster and the crowd presumed the punchline was going to be "The deputy" as in Sherrif's Deputy like in the USA but he said Mr Brown which was probably his name.
Love this guy but his opening joke here I do not get. 2nd time hearing it. Why is it funny? I'm thinking it may be lost in translation for me. The joke is if your name is Andre don't end your texts with a kiss Please explain it to me.
I'm so confused. Is the laughter staged or did they really find this funny? I have been watching comedy videos for hours and laughing hysterically...but this...it didn't even make me smile. I'm not trying to be a hater, I just genuinely don't understand it. Is he a troll and the irony of the unfunny jokes supposed to be funny?
Are ypu American? If so so no American actually knows what comedy is... Big bang theory.... Two broke girls... There hasn't been anything funny comming put of the US for years, too dumbed down x Milton Jones is a genius .. Only intelligent people will ever get or understand the humour.... Go back to watching th shite the US produces.. Up next Justin Bieber is the top us comedian because the US media says so.....
I find some British comedy funny. Jimmy Carr is one of my top 5 favorites. He's INCREDIBLY offensive sometimes, but he is so quick witted, that I can't help but love his style. There are several British comedians that are SO much better than this Milton guy. Frankie Boyle, John Cleese, Steven Fry are all British comedians that I actually enjoy watching. But this Milton guy is tough to watch without falling asleep. I feel like to be considered a great comedian, you have to tell jokes that don't pander to 5-year olds. *haaa haaa HAAAAA* (Jimmy Carr laugh)
It's a collection of completely random one-liners. It's quite an old-fashioned style of comedy. He does it well with his blank face and slightly paranoid eyes
I presume a lot of people laugh at these events because he's supposed to be a comedian and therefor is supposed to be funny so they are obliged to laugh, but some of them go overboard. I got the jokes, but didn't need to laugh uproariously. (actually, I didn't even need to smile).
Try going to see him live on stage. The experience is somewhat different from the one you get sitting on your own at home looking at a computer screen.
