Milton proudly presents a color code system that allows for easy matching of couplers and plugs among the standard styles of pneumatic air coupler quick connects. Great way to solve that annoying problem of potential crossing contaminating different air lines. By dedicating certain colors to different air lines, this will eliminate the risk of mixing a lubricated line with a dry air line which will help prolong your applications and quickly finishing any project.
Features HighFlow Pro Coupler and Plugs for up to 70% more flow! Better performance and value compared to Legacy Colorconnex.
Milton's entire line of ColorFit Couplers can be seen here:

@Milton, Why not include the G style in comparison?

That one bad review on Amazon is what's sort of turning me away from these. Apparently the aluminum is "too soft" and can "bend" easy causing air leaks.

I've used the aluminum and they hold up well, but their steel is the best.

uh, wouldn't this be a fantastic opportunity to explain which color is assigned to the industrial NPT fitting? M.... A... T...... V??? How does this help me?

I thought these were the push to connect so u don't have to pull back the sleeve first and u can just push it in.. are they not? I seen u had to slide it back to insert the 1 line

The v style dont need to the collar pushed back, the m, a and t style are conventional fittings that require the collar pushed back. The m and t fit and lock easily into into the v coupler, the a style will not lock in single handedly though due to the longer neck.

what about your 3/8" FNPT X 3/8" Airflow bore H and P styles for my 1/2" hose with 3/8" MNPT threads? they flow 67-68 CFM i see but how do they not flow more or just as much as the V style in both 3/8" NPT threads with 1/4" Airflow Bore (or 1/4" NPT threads with 1/4" Airflow bore)??? since those are rated at 76 CFM what do you recommend? i use a stepdown fitting to fit V style plugs with your universal couplers? or just go with the H/P style Universal Coupler? this is for a 30 gallon oil air compressor that came with 3/8" lines... I upgraded to Flexzilla Pro 1/2" hoses with 3/8" MNPT threads

the aluminum couplers have a steel sleeve to hold up to the abuse, but the aluminum plugs you might want to go with the brass or stainless steel instead so the airflow bores at the ends of the plugs don't get pinched if accidentally ran over or dropped hard multiple times

Besides the V style, which seems superior because of better flow, why would i choose one of the other styles over any another? What's the difference?
@trythistv
@trythistv 4 года назад
They're basically all identical other than the v having a larger bore (v style is .300 vs .200 of all the others), thus more flow. The M, A and T will lock into the v coupler, but the T will not lock in properly without a little hassle. If you're building a new air system it is well worth putting v style throughout, you'll get more power out of your tools from the increased flow.

It's getting harder to find 3/8" I/M fittings with 1/4" NPT threads... But they keep your home setup compatible with most shop setups, and they flow better than most 1/4" fittings. V-style has thinner walls, and may be better suited for a hobbyist.

@@Dustysa4 According to my measurements, Steel V style plugs are measurably thicker than their M style counterparts. Milton 760-1 is a pack of 10, usually runs about 20 bucks on amazon for anyone looking for them, the wall thickness of those steel V stlye is 0.0585" while the M style is 0.0540" or 0.0045" thinner for the M style vs the High flow V style. I've been using V/M/A/T fittings for years now as an independent mechanic and I've had 0 failure of V plugs, while the M/A/T plugs have worn out despite being used less and less often as I gradually convert everything to the V plugs.

@@trythistv I just picked up some steel V style plugs, which indeed are at least as thick as the Industrial plugs I have. It's odd that they made the aluminum plugs thinner. But good to know: If you're going to go V style, stick with the brass and steel type.
@trythistv
@trythistv 4 года назад
@@Dustysa4 Absolutely. I got a bunch of the aluminum ones for testing flow in some videos and stuff because they are cheap, but I'll stick to the steel and brass for daily use. I also heard that the brass couplers also have 5 ball bearings vs 4 in the aluminum ones, but I haven't remembered to check that yet.

What is the difference between STYLES besides your color scheme... mechanically why are there styles???
@trythistv

The M are the common "industrial" fittings. The A or T are "automotive", but for the most part they all flow the same with the exception of the V style which flows substantially more, I forget the exact CFM findings though
