Now Milwaukee needs to come out with a right angle gear box for the quik-lok for a trolling motor head. Canoe, kayak, jon boat, etc. Solar charge the battery while you fish. You are welcome Milwaukee for the idea.

Home Depot definitely has the deals on kits. A little over $600 for the blower and quick lok kit(pole saw, hedge, and string trimmer) with charging dock and 8 hr battery. All components are good but the pole saw definitely surprised me!

Thank you for this review! I have had the string trimmer for over a year now and I love it, I've been thinking about getting the pole saw attachment but was undecided. I think I might bite the bullet and pick it up.

Subscribed. I'm 70 now and have some tall palms that are starting to get out of reach to trim. I'm glad you showed how fast it cuts palms. I thought maybe the fibrous stalks of the palm fronds would give it trouble. I may still need to get up on a short step ladder to reach the palms fronds. I know that's not a good idea but sometimes you just got to do what you got to do.

Wow! 70! Sounds like you're just getting started, and you got a long way to go. That's awesome. Yes, it works just great on palms here in Central Florida. I think the key, it has a very fast chain speed. It doesn't just tear through it, it actually cuts really well. Thanks for watching.

@@Shoptoolreviews I just used it today to trim quite a few branches from my Crepe Myrtle tree that was encroaching on my new roof. The saw with the extension was a little heavy but it did the job and I had to step up on a step stool to get to the higher branches. Tomorrow will be the palms. Have you tried any of the other attachments? I am wondering if they work well too.

Was looking to purchase the 10” pole attachment by it self since I already have the quick lock weed eater. HD has it for $170 and with the extension for $229. So I was looking on OfferUp and found a brand new kit for $180. Includes main motor, 10” pole and extension. Now I don’t have to worry about switching from 10” pole saw to string.

You forgot to mention how heavy it is with the pole extension. The branch hook just gets in the way when you are working in close quarters

I just cut down two giant 50 ft + trees and used this 80% of the time to limb the trees. One of the trees was a giant pine with 3 to 4 inch thick branches and this took care of them all with no problem. Made taking the trees down a lot easier. I also have the extra extension pole which came in handy for where our lift couldn't reach. Ended up using it a lot more than anticipated.

Are you able to use more than one extension? Like can you put two extensions and then the saw head? TIA

There is a Combo kit available for 319.00 right now. It includes the extension, a 6.0 HO battery, and harness. I think they stopped providing the 8.0 HO battery because of too many failures. I use my pole saw to maintain my Oak trees in front off my house. It definitely does the job. Love the channel by the way. Great content.

For those interested in the obvious question of "how many extensions can I use?" The answer from Milwaukee is only one. In the manual for the extension Milwaukee specifically recommends against adding more than one extension because the result will be a bit wobbly and hard to control
@cageordie
@cageordie Год назад
That's what I came here to check, and that's why I cancelled my order. Maximum length is just under 9 feet. For less money the gas Husqvarna 128PS is 9 or 12 feet, depending whether you use the extension, and for a fair bit more the Makita 36V KAU02 telescopes from 9-13 feet. 9 feet just won't do what I need. I don't need something for many hours of work, so battery would have been an acceptable answer. I'd love for Milwaukee to have been the right answer, but for me it just won't work.

@truthisweareallgonnadie. Год назад
@@cageordieand I have the husqvarna 128ps it has no where near the power this Milwaukee fuel one has what good is being able to reach something when it doesn't have the power to cut it? The higher up you cut the more pressure you need to put on it to cut it.
@flyjat
@flyjat Год назад
Anyone try this with a smaller battery? I have two 2.0 M18 Hight Output batteries. I know the runtime will be less but if I'm only doing 20 or so cuts will this work? I don't want to spend the extra $150-200 for the larger battery if I don't have to.

It is currently a very exciting time for new tools and equipment. Unfortunately for me, I'm at the time where I'm thinking about retirement! Currently, my pole saw is also a combi system, which is the Husqvarna 535LK, and it is extremely powerful and in my opinion, the absolute nuts!!

For heavier usage, like for an arborist, lineman, larger property owner, the telescopic 13' milwaukee saw is much more robust and has 3x the chain speed. $599 though but it's the most powerful electric pole saw on the market by a large margin.

@truthboomertruthbomber5125 11 месяцев назад
@@Shoptoolreviews I stand corrected !!! I never knew that chainsaws generated such chain speeds. And of course a gas saw makes more than 3 times the CS as this electric saw. This should be explained in detail to all non-professionals so that they have a better grasp of just how dangerous their saw really is.
