For these types of high drain and long run time tools I wish they’d add an optional 110/230v input, like they do on the site lights

Not a perfect solution, but Milwaukee sells a corded head. It's also quite a bit more powerful, being one of the better 6.5 peak HP vacs on the market (IIRC, DeWalt's top vacs are still a bit better).

Agree. I've got no place for a vacuum that can only ever be used for about 15 minutes at a time. There may be occasion where having cordless would be an asset, but a lot less where not being able to plug in is a detriment.

@@perfectdiversionI'm looking forward to this but very afraid of the price in Australia. I feel even worse for my New Zealand brothers who pay even more for their tools. Our 240v part of the world probably won't see it for another couple of years anyway. Still haven't gotten the M18 topoff with AC outlet and USB C. 🥺

Finally stepped up to makita xgt and it is amazing I only got the impact and hammer drill but it opens up the possibility of getting bigger draw tools and that’s what I was looking for also I found and fixed a Milwaukee string trimmer and 9ah battery in someone’s trash at work lol free tools are never a bad thing thank you for reviewing all these tools to help me decide what’s worth spending my money on and what’s not you’re my go to reviewer no bullshit no selling out for companies

The trolley does look flimsy and they missed a trick - they could've moulded a wide floor cleaning head into it so you can hook the vac to it and push the trolley around like a yard vac.

M18 8ah HO, 12ah HO, 6ah XC, 9ah HD & M12 3ah CP, 6ah XC are using cells with high failure rates. Heard stories about the Redlithium USB 3ah as well. These are the 3ah 18650 cells and the 4ah 21700 cells.

I had one of my 8ah HO fail recently, I have 2 and they both have no more than 15 charges each over their 3 year life span. Go figure it failed 3 weeks after the 3 year mark, which is quite the coincidence when you compare my case to the thousands of other reviews/stories found online whose batteries also failed immediately after the 2 or 3 year mark as well, but who got MUCH more use than me with hundreds of charges. Almost as if it's failure rate leans more towards being clock based than use based. I was able to revive it buying one of those lithium smart chargers and individually recharging each cell using sticks and copper wire. Milwaukee's BMS is clearly garbage with the cells you mentioned, 4 cells were the problem at ~2.6 volts with the rest from 3.2 to 3.6 volts, which just goes to show how poorly these things are balanced through charging. I've just been waiting for my m12 3ah batteries to fail, I'm surprised they haven't yet...but at least I'm ready for it lol.

I 100% would not recomended that wet vac for sucking out stagnant water from pits. Reason being the $60 240v ozitos are cheap and there is no way to make them un stink so job done and bin them. Im guessing any reputable wet/dry vac costs a little bit.

I agree the handle mount looks very flimsy, it won't take long before it breaks, that's very poor design.

Let’s just be honest…… the runtime is crap a vac this size is often ran for long periods of time for larger clean up jobs…. An ac plug option would have sold me on it.

17 minutes and its dead wow - May be 25 minutes if both batteries were fresh. The 230V version looks like it'll still be the best option for being able to be used through out the day, plus job site clean up at the end. (Some sites now requiring a vacuum for site clean up, instead of the traditional Brush and Shovel due to Dust hazards)

Milwaukee have significantly upped their design game. They are putting other manufacturers to shame. I think a lot of their accessories are total crap though.
