I was at this game! So exciting! I've been an L.A. Kings fan since 1974, but moved to Palm Springs in 2005. What a great thing to be able to go to Hockey games so close at such a fantastic Arena! Went to four Playoff games, including their very first one. One question. Out of 1000's of NHL games I've seen I've never seen a Penalty called for a 'Faceoff Violation'. I've also never seen them award a goal like they did when the Firebirds had an open net.
Way to go Firebirds! So proud of you all! Between the Kraken making the playoffs, beating the defending Stanley Cup Champion Avalanche and bringing Dallas to game 7 to my Seattle Thunderbirds winning the WHL Championship 🏆 and making it through to the Memorial Cup Championship and now the Firebirds making it to the Championship their inaugural season as the newest team in the AHL vs the oldest team...this has been an amazing season for Seattle related hockey! 🔥 🕊️ Let's Go Firebirds!!! 🔥 🕊️ Bring that Calder Cup back to Coachella Valley/Seattle!!! 🏆
Also big shout-out to KARTYE! Being brought up to play in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with the Kraken and making some remarkable plays to going back to the Firebirds and continue the success playing out of his mind to help the Birds make it to the championship is truly remarkable! Can't wait to see him play on the Kraken again next season!
