This is my favorite day to day utility knife I have a few other milwaukee flavors but I gravitate to this one 90% of the time

I would love to see actual knife companies come out with budget utility blade holders. Things that expected of knives (handle ergos and clip position, opening and closing action, tighter tolerances, easy to maintenance) should all apply to these blade holders, even for

I got one of these for christmas and the blade exchange blade being on opposite side and having the guard is what makes me love this on with others that have it on the spine or on the opposite side i accidentally release the blade at least once when cutting stuff

Thanks for the review. I have this Fastback and the 02 which is slightly larger w/onboard blade storage. Use them often and like them, especially this one because f its relative compact size. Appreciate the quality FB for the price. On board storage isn't a big deal around the house, but away from it is nice to have. But this new Fastback is actually the only utility knife I have with no on board storage. Even the 40-50+ year old fixed blade knives I still have all have storage in the handle.

the molded bump actually contains the metal that pushes the button back, it's not for the pocket clip. Took it apart today, planning on flipping the blade holder in the 1500 and 1505, i like the 1505 better but don't need the stripper and like choking up on it.

I've tried that Gerber 2x yrs apart and both times it's opened in my pocket both times and sliced in the palm of my hand pretty good both times

I love mine it's like an automatic as far as deployment or close to it but I do have a little difficulty with the blade release.

Nice! I'd say that this would suit the average tool box.

This video convinced me to get the Exceed Designs TiRant V3. I was on the fence about getting the Milwaukee Fastback compact. I already have the wire stripper version but the tolerances are a bit sloppy and I keep accidentally pressing the release mechanism.

Best for construction work and sharpening Carpenter pencils. The other larger knives from Milwaukee are just too large to comfortably sharpen Carpenter pencils with.

@@DanR6793 I’ve had mine for a couple of months and I love it more and more everyday. I left a link to them in the description. It’s a little pricey, but if you use a utility blade on the regular, it is well worth it. Fun to fidget with too.

Funny I've had mine for 6 months and love it, but I puzzled over the blade change. Until today! Thanks for the useful video!

I recently got the Work pro folding utility knife, 3 pack for $17 at time of writing, ($14.99 when i ordered SKU: W000014A). They have the same button style and its slimmer kinda like the Tirant. So far its been a great compliment to my Sidekick instead of looking for a regular pocket knife which would be expensive for a good one. Its been great in my warehouse cutting plastic wrap, tape, and plastic bands and outside work it pockets well. It doesnt have the same fit and finish as the Tirant but for $5 to $6 each its a hell of a deal.

I carried a fastback for years at work and it did great but once I found the tirant there was no going back, I just prefer it but the fastback is definitely a great knife for the price

You gotta check out the Milwaukee 48-22-1511. It's the compact side slide. I had to order the ones I have because I have not seen them in stores.

I'm an electrician and I've used this utility knife for almost two years now and I love it, easy to carry and quick opening makes my job a lot easier. I've been thinking of switching to the Milwaukee fastback 6 in 1 for the backup screwdriver, is this a good switch? Can we maybe see a comparison video for the size difference? Love watching your videos I've been addicted to watching you review Leatherman multi tools and I've been trying to decide on which one to buy for weeks now, i currently have my father's original PST that he gave me. Thanks for the content keep it up -Nick

I need a utility knife strong enough to cut a soda can. The one you feature in this video isn't. Do you know of one that is without entirely emptying my wallet? Thank you.
