Worked awesome when repiping a front house or back house or when I ran copper air lines for shop air . People talk bad about it but when your making 3-400 cuts in a few days for a big job it’s worth it’s weight in gold . Even our old school hard head foreman loved it

Crazy to see your story here. Yesterday I was cutting a pipe that was about the width of the tool. With gloves on, holding the pipe from spinning, pulled the trigger. Pipe spun anyway and cut right through the leather glove and deep into the pulp of my thumb. I yelped out loud when it happened. Finished the water heater and thought that was pretty dumb of me. Probably should've gotten stitches bc it's having a hard time healing in the inside knuckle of the thumb. Stay safe, the tool doesn't know to stop.

I love mine as well. It saves so much time and fatigue when you’re cutting copper all day long. Milwaukee just released a new version that cuts from 1-1/4” to 2” copper. It is only just now arriving at sellers. In fact, Ohio Power Tool just started selling them this week. I will be getting mine this week from my favorite place down the road.

On the m12 and m18 regular drill speed 1 it has power if your not careful it can twist some hands hehe it’s great to always look out for safety …

Great video and educational. He bit my glove and tore it off. The gloves protected my hands, I was lucky. I just didn't pay attention for a moment. But it's a very useful tool, I like it, it saves my hands from a lot of work. I build a lot of gas lines from 28x1.5 mm pipe, it is quite difficult to cut by hand, this machine helps a lot. I already bought the "Raptor" version, stronger and good for steel. Regards From Hungary !

I helped out a plumber at for five months one time and I bought this to the second day after having to cut about 50 pieces of pipe manually. My wrist locked up with me so I went straight to Home Depot. The worst thing of it is the guy has been a plumber for over 30 years and he doesn’t even have this tool, he just doesn’t the old fashion way. Which is crazy when you need 200 pieces of 3 inch pipe for 40 mixers.

It’s funny the dude in the video starts sticking his fingers in it with the battery in, on the video telling us about him getting injured by it 😅 it’s really no wonder. I’ve never put my fingers only copper pipe inside of it because it’s meant for copper, but I’ve only been plumbing 5 years and I’m 21 what do i know. It’s kinda like when people are shooting at the range and turn around and wave the gun at everybody. Just have a little common sense is all.

I’d say no. One inch is the max size And that’s based on pipe diameter not coupling. I can’t imagine why you would want it to do this but I’m sure a old school rigid 100 would do what you need

Junk. Mine breaks down all the time. While under warranty I had to take it in at least 3 times because it would not reset after the cut. This happened 7 times in 3 years period. The tool company that works on these told me they are constantly fixing these because of the heads not working right. I own all Milwaukee cordless tools but they dropped the ball on this i ended up buying the DeWalt cutter and yes I have to switch heads from 1/2" to 3/4" but at least it doesn't break down all the time and it cuts twice as faster than the Milwaukee.

@@masterflowplumbing9812 You've got some soft lads commenting on this video. I remember as an apprentice in the mid 90's (England), early morning smashing my thumb with a lump hammer on a cold chisel in a filthy Victorian crawl space. Absolute agony. My thumb looked completely destroyed, I thought it would have to be amputated but the fitter I was working with, a real old school hard as nails type just made me wrap it in PTFE tape to seal it and get back on the job. We used to fit a gas boiler and full radiators system in a day and he wanted it finished. I kept having to re-tape it as blood started to leak out again. We got the job done and still had to do it all again at 7am next day. It healed up and returned to normal surprisingly quickly. It's a different world now.
