Some tools are better on one brand than the other. It all boils down to personal taste. So I owed both Milwaukee and dewalt. Gives me a reason to go out and buy a new tool once in a while 😅
I have the Milwaukee M12 FUEL, but Love both of these Hex Drivers. As far as which platform allows you a greater runtime.? That, I couldn't speak to, but past experiences with other brands in other comparisons, I'd say, run time edge goes typically to the larger volt platform. Great Video Brother.
Run the power stack battery on the 850 as it was designed and see who wins. Also, you will probably see better results on the M12 using the 6.0 rather than the HO 5.0
I use the crap out of the m12 fuel line, it is for repairs. If I am going to be getting into a decent size project the 18 volt system is coming out.A lot less down time changing batteries.
Exactly why I’ve been putting together a little m12 fuel kit to keep in the truck. Now they’re so powerful, they should be able to handle any problem that comes up. The m18 beasts come out when it’s necessary now lol
I do commercial hvac and us m12fuel 99% of the time. I use my m12 hammerdrill for all anchors a 3/8 or less anything bigger I grab my m12 fuel SDS. Use my m12 cut wheel for rod and my m12 5&3/8 circ for big pipe and strut. Will be using my m12 jacket come Monday when Temps drop.
Ain’t big on Milwaukee M18 but the m12 fuel line has held up great. 18 volt I mainly use Makita but also like Bosh and DeWalt. M18 fuel products are strong but not very reliable like to quit in middle of the job.
DeWalt and Bosch cater more for carpenters, cabinet making and also mechanics. Milwaukee and Ridgid cater more for plumbers, electricians and heating The Wood butchers Always love the red 👍
I think this is not true anymore. Milwaukee has an excellent selection for woodworkers - and plumbers, mechanics, electricians, hvac. M18 line is even better than Makita in selection.
Dewalt batteries suck only last couple years if u r lucky. I have Milwaukee for over 10 years batteries still running strong. No matter how fast don’t mean 💩 if you have to buy replacement batteries all the time
I wish we were in America and had access to great tools at a low price. But we are under US sanctions and we have to pay twenty times more to buy tools.
@@user-tw8bp3yq8s the black Friday special had M12 fuel set of a drill and an impact on sale for $179, including two batteries, and a charger. That’s hard to beat
It's getting to the point that 18 volt impact drivers are becoming unnecessary. My M12 makes 100 inch pounds (1500 vs 1600) then my non fuel brushless M18. As if that will matter for driving fasteners. The fuel M18 is still a powerhouse but it's use case is getting smaller and smaller as these 12 volt tools get crazy powerful for their size
@@deluxepressure ??? Just referring to the fact that M12 tools have fat handles due to the battery needing to fit inside. It’s one of the main complaints but it’s also one of the main strengths (compare power ratchets, for example). My fingers have nothing to do with anything. I’m relaying what others say.
Tbh, i’ve been a Dewalt guy my entire life. I gave the M12 a try, and now my 20 V Dewalt looks to me crude and heavy. Don’t get me wrong, I am not getting rid of all of my 20 V DeWalt tools, but I am definitely switching to M12 for the drill and the impact.
it's not a proper 20v though it,s 20v peak power which is why overseas they don't have the 20v line just 18v because of legal issues. Also Milwaukee has a patient for 18v in the US and Canada so they had to call it 20v.@@Berzerk29
The 12v battery's are actually really reliable the main problem with milwaukee batteries is the 18v high output 12Ah and 9 Ah they don't make anymore they have had alot of issues
The reason for the failures is that the battery draw is too much for the batteries. In my previous company, we had a Dewalt lithium battery from 2011 and worked better than the 18v XRP from 2018.
Have the BATTERY its got more power you should get the new MILWAUKEE M18 BRUSHLESS 1700 inch pounds model 3661-20 it beats the m12 easy and it has 3600 RPMs and 4900 IPMs
I don't use M12 because I want m18 power. I want close and I want the size of the M12. I even hate these M12 batteries he have cuz of bulk. Sadly they don't make the tube Batts this big.
@@user-tw8bp3yq8s try the new M18 BRUSHLESS 3661-20 it's the smallest and most power for it's size of they ever make it fuel with the same 2000 inch pounds of the gen 4 it will be IT
And the Dewalt drill is more comfortable. The grip on the Milwaukee 12v is ridiculously fat compared to the Dewalt 12v, makita 12v or any of the other full size drills. That gets a no right away.
