Good video, Sir! The Power Source is an invaluable accessory if you are already invested in the Milwaukee m18 line-up. Thank you for sharing your opinions, and thank you for uploading!

Robert Johnson Thanks Robert! Yeah this is one of those very inexpensive tools/accessories that is extremely useful & I think is a great deal. For anyone in the M18 lineup, it really is a no-brainer....especially if you ever need to charge your phone when you arent near a plug.

I agree this is good for using in the car because it does put out 2.1 A and if you’re stopping and starting all the time and the car needs the ignition to be on to charge the phone if you use the Milwaukee set up it will continuously charge at 2.1 A regardless of whether the cars even running....

I have this power source and its great. I'll use it for mostly for making youtube videos with my iPod touch where I don't have electricity. Great video!

Love2boat92 Nice! I had not thought of using it to power an iPod, but I guess they use the same plugs....awesome :)

Real Tool Reviews Thanks. They do use the same plugs. Lol. I wish the batteries lasted longer in my iPod touch.

My too, bought mine a few months ago, works perfect! I have both M12 and M18 power source.
@RealToolReviews

JonTheChron Nice....I like the M18 since it has an actual "on/off" switch.....the M12 will only power the USB for 2 hours & then you have to press the button to activate the port again.

I wonder how much phones it will charge on the new m18 9.0 🤔

Rural King has them in there stores, some great milwaukee deals there. I got that power source for $25 and a small bimetal hole saw kit for $20 (50 at HD)

Love the idea, but I'm more of a fan of Ridgid because of their LSA. Wish they had a similar offering.

was that a Milwaukee vest you had on? I didn't know they made vests
@RealToolReviews
@RealToolReviews 9 лет назад
Oscar Diaz It was the "heated portion" of the 3-in-1 Camo Jacket (that I was wearing at the beginning & end of the video)....basically a removable heated vest. I removed the outer part of the jacket since it kept folding over the pocket when I was shooting the clip about how to install the battery pack. It is nice to wear underneath of regular hoodies/jackets & will keep you very warm.

Do you happen to know if the Power Source brings the voltage down to 12v to the jacket from the 18v battery, or does it feed 18v directly to the jacket?
@RealToolReviews
@RealToolReviews 9 лет назад
Alexander B I have not tested it with a multimeter, but I would 99.9% assume that they step the voltage down to match the M12 output....that is how they are achieving such extremely long runtimes & the fact that the jacket heats up exactly the same between the M12 & M18.....if they pumped more juice into it (i.e. 18v), it would get a lot hotter (think about the coils on your stove top).

It would be more impressive if it had a cigarette light outlet on it.

Hey man I love your reviews and I had a question that you might know the answer too...I have a TON of m12 & m18 stuff but saw that Makita has a coffee maker in their 18v lineup. I was wondering if by some grace of god if the m18 power source can hook into the Makita one or somehow wire it into the m18 source or if there is an adapter to go from Milwaukee to Makita...thanks for your input!!
@RealToolReviews
@RealToolReviews 8 лет назад
+landscaperconnection Thanks! I doubt it, and even if you could.....it was my understanding that the coffee maker will drain a high-capacity battery very quickly (due to the heat generated).....you may want to read some reviews about it prior to buying one. I think it is a 5oz capacity.
