Having a way to neatly and safely secure tools on your side by side or sand rail is absolutely paramount. Can’t tell ya how many times I’ve lost tools and ending up needing them....it can save you a big ole headache. Good video hoss.....
Thank bud. If this works out, the possibilities for what we want to take on a trip will be awesome. We can swap out tools and water and set up for whatever we are doing in minutes.
Great idea with the base....I use the 20 inch open and the little open top in my service truck and they need a base so I can get rid of the straps. Have the rolling, large, medium and about five of the storage boxes so far in my PO system. They just store tools and are tucked away until I get an enclosed trailer where they are more practical to use. Come to think about it they have an old medium PO box at the pawn shop I think ill.try to get it and use the top. Thanks for the tip.
I never thought of the idea of getting the base so that way the cooler doesn’t slide around. That is genius. They showed the wall mount at nps18 but they still haven’t hit the market. Like come on already! Great info as always!
I love the base idea. So many things you can do with it! 3-d printer would be great. I’m trying to figure something else out though. Just gotta spend some more time on the idea.
1) I would never sacrifice a companion seat for a packout mount. 2) A mount the in the bed of a UTV might be nice. 3) That metal strap on the side is a bottle opener that you can clip a tape measure to, if you wish to. 4) Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Terry. I should have added more info. 1. We purchased a 4 seater for the extra room for items when running as a chase rig in races. When we go out with the family it will have 4 people in it, but otherwise, we need the storage. 2. We are going to test this with lids and see if they will hold up without falling out of the bed. Not sure the lids will take the abuse. 3. I thought I talked about the opener/tape measure strap?
@@WorkshopAddict You said it was a tape measure holder that you could use to open bottles. I put the the emphasis on the later, due to my enjoyment of beer. Subtle difference. 😎🍺🍺🍺
First of all I love your choice of waters I like the bases I seen the video where they had some mounted inside of an on the sides there is a company that makes 3D printed feet I thought about getting them and mounting them on a piece of wood amounting my chop saw thanks for letting us know the colors are available you guys take care
I think the base would b great also tell Milwaukee to make a power source like dewalt but more powerful for camping and a cordless hammer chisel like the air hammer for automotive use because I have just about all these tools from all the big and little names great time to b alive and I'm old school thank u guys ur the best
Thanks Mel. We have talked about an automotive air hammer with Milwaukee before. We also have in our shop a new battery inverter for camping that will run our large 5th wheel with air conditioning. It will come out in the spring. Stay tuned.
A pack out base would be great, I would get a few for my work truck to keep the extra pack out tool cases organized, take just what I need as needed, as for the cooler I like but wish it was bigger and hard plastic, with a built in self cooling, like those old coolers you used to plug in to your cigarette plug.
@@hermanharris5329 I looked at them last night and was trying to figure it out. Then I was going to try looking again this morning and seen this comment. Thank you.
are all milwaukee lunch coolers are 1068 or1068 ballistic? I bought one in the hardware store and it dont feel like the rest of ballistic gear from milwaukee.
One of the biggest downsides of a cooler like this to me is it the liner is a fixed unit and it cannot be pulled out these type of liners are really hard to clean and they end up ripping like crazy I know because I had a pretty large lunch bag from Duluth Trading that had a same liner and after a few years of use it started ripping. I now have a cheaper cooler this size with a hard plastic liner that is food grade and I can pull it out wash it by hand or put it in the dishwasher. Oh yeah and it was like $20
@@brandonmoen6956 It would not hold ice for more than 4 or 5 hours and the Milwaukee cooler will for 24 hours. we proved that on instagram. The cheap cooler also had a strap rip off the side after one summer.
I don't remember what my brand is but I've had it for 2 years now I used it working with the County's Road Department I've used it working in construction I've loaded it chock-full of stuff so that the lid barely closes and I've never had a problem with it breaking. I've packed it with a good amount of ice and it lasted all day.
Doesn't come with a liner/tub. I don't buy softside coolers that don't have the hard insert. They always develop leaks over time. What are the internal dimensions? Maybe I can rob one off my other coolers or make one out of stainless for WOW factor.....ha!
I think it is made well as a cooler. We have had many soft coolers given to us by other companies as giveaways and they have lasted a long time and were made with much less quality than this one.
I used an ice pack in this over the weekend and it leaked the orange fluid all over everything. :( I was thinking the same, keep the liquid level down so nothing leaks.

Fucken cooler sucks. Did not hold my ice for over 5 hours after opening it to grab 2... Two beer... and that bottle opener angle sucks. Every beer spills and does not do it's job without spilling heavy liquid. Crap bag really. I love Milwaukee tools but I hate their recreation stuff. It can't be a job site cooler... It has a beer bottle opener.... THAT DOES NOT WORK WITHOUT SPILLING A LOT OF BEER!
