The packout cabinet should have been the base of the packout rollout. It would have been easier to get to the contents as opposed to having to remove all the packout containers on top of the rollout to be able to lift the lid open and access the contents every single time. Or even the double or triple drawer should have been the base.
That's a great point! And who knows; maybe Milwaukee will come out with some wheeled drawers specifically for that reason! The sky is really the limit with Packout, and only time will tell where Milwaukee goes with it!
Fact check... Milwaukee was late to the party. ..The Festool Systainer came out in 1993 and Sortimo/Bosch L-Boxx came out in 2004, beating Packout to the market by over a decade but they seem to be made out of recycled Coke bottles. The material is much too thin to toss in the back of a truck without fearing for the life of the contents. Packout for the win!
You are 100% correct they weren’t the first, never understood why these never caught on before but Packout definitely changed everything. Don’t think people are going back now, system storage is here to stay!
My buddy is a festool guy and his systainers look like horrendous they barely even pretend to close let alone lock. I don’t have the heart to tell him I hope he doesn’t see this comment
Great. That's awesome. But Milwaukee made it easily affordable and accessible to the masses. Kinda like Apple when they released the iPhone. They weren't the first to create a cellphone, but they made it easily affordable and accessible for the masses. Now they're the most successful company in the world. Like you said, Packout for the win!
Well sure, why not? Ohio Power Tool is inclusive to all, no matter their background, orientation, gender, beliefs, fashion choices, automotive ability, music tastes, movie preferences, phone operating system choice, or anything else.
The Packout ammo box is perfect for the Milwaukee M18 brad nailer. Use only the long center divider and put the nailer on one side and all your different size boxes of brads on the other side.
@@JWimpy I had a ryobi one until it broke and then I had to switch back to my pneumatic one and man do I miss the convenience of just grabbing a battery and a box of nails and going
First time watching one of your videos. Subscribed! Only thing I don't like about the wall mount brackets is that they don't work on 16" centers when using more than one beside each other. They should have an overlap on each end to make them work. In a perfect world all garages / shops would have all walls made of plywood.
Hey Mike! Thanks for taking the time to check us out and subscribing! It would definitely be nice if the plates were able to snap together easier on a wider variety of surfaces and materials, but Milwaukee's also known to release second and even third and fourth versions of some items to introduce upgrades and new features; maybe we'll be seeing a Wall Plate V2? 👀
@@OhioPowerTool I notice that Milwaukee always leaves out some key features with their power tools and PACKOUT that they eventually add to a future gen. Flex with their STACK PACK looks like they took PACKOUT and added all those missing features. All Flex has to do is make a more expansive line of tools and tool storage and they'll really cut into Milwaukee and Dewalt's share of tool buyers. Wishing the people of OPT and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
What we all should be appealing to milwaukee to do is stop producing those wasteful container that are not oackout that most of us get rid of because they don't work with the packout system and we replace them anyways with the packout boxes. It just doesn't make sense milwaukee making and putting tools is a box that doesn't use the packout system, most folks will spend the extra dollars to have a packout box that they can use especially when these boxes can come molded to accommodate these tools. These other containers ends up in the landfill and doesn't make down for hundreds of yrs. Come on milwaukee protect the planet.
I love these containers and just continue to refill them as i go through the bits. They're half the price as a set that comes in a packout case and are easily tossed in a packout toolbox
I tried, and I mean I really tried to concentrate on your content, but the woman in the cardigan sweater was very distracting because her voice didn't match up with what I was seeing... smh!
Thanks Mark! The woman (actually a man) is happy he was able to draw your eye so much. Maybe you'd like to meet up for dinner this Friday? He can pick you up at 8!
My pickup bed is full of these things on a giant drawer that slides out so I can access everything from the side Clips in with the Milwaukee plates to keep it secure the only issue is there a thief magnets they take the whole box
The Mounting plate is perfect. I put one high up on the wall of my trailer, and put two of the small clear top organizers on it. One holds my first aid kit, the second is flashlights, fire starters, and a bunch of small things I often use when camping. Always available, yet out of the way.
Packout is undeniably more organized then the tough system and also has more packout things then the tough system but for a fact the durability of the tough systems is absolutely insane
They have sockets in Packout but not wrenches. No worry I took the Packout slim pulled out the trays, added some kazon foam and made my own. 1 imperial & 1 metric.
Y'know, a Packout wrench set would probably sell like hotcakes! Milwaukee's got some customisable foam inserts that you can pick up for a variety of their boxes, but an official wrench set from them would be pretty rad!
Loved the ending. Y’all this is my first ever video but y’all got a brand new supporter. Thank you. And yes I’ll get back to work lol. That was a great way to end the video. Keep it up and Happy Holidays!!
Awesome love to hear it! We had fun making this one and hopefully we keeping make videos worth watching, always the goal of answering customers questions and providing useful info but making it somewhat entertaining. Happy Holidays to you as well!!
How did the packout lunchbox win 1st? Mine only holds batteries and a charger... literally the last box I've bought. Mostly so I can walk my batteries off the job easy.
Glad to hear it! You can make some pretty slick setups with Packout; they're streamlined, functional, and above all, they work. And they look damn cool, too!
@Ohio Power Tool I do think they are the best, I just done an update on my van setup on my channel if you want to take a look, any suggestions always welcome. Thanks
Right around screen time; 5:30, something looked out of play there…. Oh yeah the cup was empty 😂😂 or else if would have been splashing all over the packout stack
i just picked up the tray, and with the dividers in each spot is big enough for a qt can of pvc glue or cleaner. As a team yellow guy its bitter sweet to say that red tool boxes are far better than then the yellow option. also i love the ammo box, when i had the dewalt stackable boxes i had my drill and driver set below the "general construction" tools and almost never used it, now ive got it in the ammo box and its the set i take in with me almost every time!!
And there's nothing wrong with that! You can be a Team Yellow fan while still enjoying and appreciating the other side for quality craftsmanship and ease of use and a host of other reasons! Glad you're enjoying your PACKOUT stack!
I put a m12 fuel hackzall, m12 hammer drill, m18 fuel oscillating tool, impact drill and a battery charger with 2 m18 and 2 m12 batteries in that compact tool box. Carrying it is easy, does not Wack your knees. It’s the perfect box
The Milwaukee coffee mug is not leak proof. Its made very well otherwise. You you want the best coffee mug, buy Nespresso coffee mug due to its amazing leak proof lid that Milwaukee should design into their to make it the ULITMATE coffee mug period. Cheers.
That's a bummer! A leaky coffee mug can definitely put a damper on your day. Have you found any other insulated mugs or brands that you prefer for keeping your drinks secure and at the right temperature? It's always helpful to discover reliable alternatives.
its cool but GOD is it expensive and its not as configurable as I would like. a lot of the smaller pin organizers only fit one way with one size of bin.
Thanks for getting in touch! That sounds like something you may want to reach out to Milwaukee about; they're designed to be leak-proof, and that sounds like it could be due to an issue during manufacturing!
@@OhioPowerTool haven't heard anything from them. Gave up after a couple weeks. a couple buddies have the same issue and Vcg construction also reviewed that product and found the same thing.
Compact tool box is awesome, I just wish they’d made their mail guns more compact so that I could fit a framer and a finisher in one box, or fit them into the drawers
For the 1:48 comment Nick was pointing out you can get the impact sockets and tray without the packout www.ohiopowertool.com/milwaukee-tools-49-66-6815 drops right in if you've already got a ton of packout or want to put them in a wide or deep packout. I think you're right this was a flub up, Nick is talking about how the packout pre configured bit set can mount on wall or stack (this is obviously, works as all other packouts do).
I’m an electrician. I need something for my hand tools and my drill/impact hun, wore nuts, an assortment of screws/bolts/washers/nuts What do u suggest?
Hey Michael! Sounds like you could use a couple of pieces for all of that! For all your tools, depending on how many you've got, we'd recommend either the drawered tool boxes, XL tool box, and/or potentially the Rolling Tool Box to store them all. For nuts, washers, bolts, and screws, take a look into one of their Organisers, either full-sized or compact, which can click right into the top of whichever tool box you go with!
I will have to say, the Packout Tumblers WILL spit your drink in your face if you close it too fast. It’s an interesting design, but I don’t think it works. It catches too much liquid within the sliding component.
From what we could find online, it doesn't seem that anyone's tested Packout for specifically being able to withstand a bear attack, but it appears many people like to use Packout for camping trips; you should be all set with them!
Nice vid gents! Have never seen a vid but for some reason, YT brought us together 😂 Love my Packout stuff, wasn’t aware of the socket sets. Would be perfect to roll out to a vehicle to wrench on….hmm. Gears turning
Thanks for taking the time to check us out! There are even more pieces that we didn't get a chance to talk about in this video; head on over to the Milwaukee Packout section of our website and treat yourself to a little early Christmas present!
Well hey, someone had to do it; you never know how safe your eggs will be if you decide to store them in a Packout box, and there was only one true way to find out!
You could always buy it when you're on holiday in America and then bin all your old luggage and just use the Packout on the return trip. You'd get cheap Packout (which is great!), holiday in America (which is, y'know, ehh), and you'd probably only have to spend the cost of three or four Packout pieces on the flights (which is significantly less great, but! International travel! Woohoo!). It's a win-win all around!
For no other reason than exclusivity. EU Packout is the exact same Packout that we get here in the States, they just elected to go with a different colour scheme
Hard to judge another’s PACKOUT stack, this one was very tough be we’ve got a lot of customers using 4, 6, 8 or more of these. Versatility for tools, accessories and supplies. Not the flashiest option but priced right, often underrated, people voting with $$ so maybe worth a second look? We really love all the solutions so again hard to pick a “winner”. What’s your #1 pick??
It's a perfect dip tray!! Bring that out with a nice charcuterie board, y'know, some meats and cheeses and crackers with that thing of dip in the middle, now that's a party!
It appears your best bet may be to get a custom foam insert to set your wrenches into and place into one of the Packout organizers; Milwaukee has not yet released a specific wrench Packout solution, but hopefully they'll have one here soon!
There is no difference whatsoever! Black Packout is exclusive to the EU, and red Packout is what we get here in the US; the only difference is their colouring! Nie ma różnicy! Czarny Packout jest dostępny wyłącznie w UE, a czerwony Packout jest tym, co dostajemy tutaj w USA; jedyna różnica to kolorystyka!
Packout is a great system. I have quite an assortment of these tool boxes. Including 3 sets of the starter 3pc sets (hope that makes sense lol). BUT....I think Milwaukee is starting to get very greedy. I refuse to pay almost $50 (Canadian) for a coffee cup...Nor a $50 "tool station". .....$32 battery rack or towel roll holder? Now, come on! Or how about $16 for a 2 hook curved hook ($1 at the dollar store for something similar)????..... I won't be buying any more Packout items. In fact, stopped buying Milwaukee tools all together. There's just something distasteful when a company tries to rip off their customers!
That's totally understandable! Especially if you're able to still get done what you need to get done, that should be the most important part; save money if you're able!
@@OhioPowerTool I had a whole list of upgrades for that box, then my phone died and I don't have the psyche to type all that again. F it! Make Gen 2 like the 2 Wheel Rolling Cart but with 2 extra wheels in the front like GETT Tools Mod. Then make wheels detachable like on the new M18 Wet/Dry Vac. Then you can use the Box and the Cart as a cart or Dolly separately if needed. 🔥💥💣🧨🎯🎳💪🏼👍👊🏽
You definitely can! We've seen people stack a couple of the Trays on top of each other for quicker access for smaller bits or accessories, or a host of other things!
I feel with the invention of these roll around, snapping together tool boxes, people have started to just bring to much onto a job site at once. Grab what you need out of your truck, do that work, put that stuff back in your truck and then grab what you need for the next thing. 1 bag or box at a time on site😂 it really helps when its time to clean up.
