This is remarkably fascinating for it's use of color 8mm and 16mm home movie camera's. The most interesting part of this is getting a small view of the United States of America as it quickly goes from a neutral country to a sudden war footing in 1942. The tanks on the freight train are telling of the sudden and agressive change. I wish I knew if one person filmed all of this. It does go from the war to suddenly the early 1950's. The apprence at Bluffton, Ohio of a two tone Cadillac showed the difference from the streamlined cars of the pre war 40's with their dowdy colors. The scean of shadowing the doubleheader going very fast (of course the film had no way to be a true speed so everything looks too fast). Just curious if during the war their was gas rationing most people had an A Card that was extremely limiting. If you worked for the government you got an X Card that you could use as much as you need. The speed limit was reduced to 35 miles an hour to save gas. I wish I knew what this person did during the war that allowed them to film so much in color and what could even be seen as troop and military movements. Thank you for posting this! Getting to see a real in color glimpse into the "Home Front" of the USA during WWII was wonderful! Again thank you!
