I love it when Mimic/Copycat characters are used as good guys, the ability they bring to the table to *be anyone* is super underrated, often used as a villain cop-out by having them just replicate the main protagonist to fight them. I like the idea that Mimasaka turned a new leaf and began to use his ability for good. I like it even better that he eventually goes on to work on his own cooking! It's such a character arc and I love every second of it!

Not to mention, he can mimic others through actual skill, he's the complete opposite of Asahi who was just given some supernatural ability and ruined the plot, another reason why his existence is totally prepostorous

I totally agree! The first character who comes to mind is Kise from kukuro no basket! The ability to mimic is incredibly strong and shouldn’t be underestimated!

I give him alot of respect. At the end of the season after Central is defeated, he actually turns down a seat on the Elite Ten so he can focus on refining his cooking and creating an identity for himself that doesn't involve his tracing ability.

The fact he goes on to perfect his own style of cooking is a testament to evolving from simply copying others. I’m not saying he doesn’t have any skill, because he honestly does. However, it’s good to see his main ability being used for something awesome like this.

"Down to the last detail" - fails to know that Soma was the son of a not only legendary Totsuki Elite 10 chef, but also a global one. His fact checking needs work. Wasn't Soma's cooking that he should've been profiling, it should've been his dad's.

if he was just replicating a dish, then yes. but he is replicating n improving. he wouldnt be allowed to improve a dish if he was with central.
