Random thing i need to tell you *Pants heavily AND HYPERVENTILATES* My fav characters: GON AND KILLUA WHY GON IS MY FAV CHARACTER : GON IS AMAZING AND HE IS SO INNOCENT AND CUTE, HE IS JUST LIKE A LITTLE GREEN BEAN AND I CAN'T DESCRIBE HOW MUCH CUTE AND SILLY HE IS WHY KILLUA IS MY FAV CHARACTER: HIS FAMILY IS AMAZING, THEY'RE ALL ASSASSINS WHICH IS SPINE-CHILLING AND HE WAS AN ASSASSIN TOO HE INSPIRED ME TO WANT TO BECOME AN ASSASSIN AND SAME AS WELL AS GON, HE INSPIRED ME TOO WHY THEY ARE MY FAV CHARACTERS: 1.TOO CLOSEEEE FRIENDSHIP 2.CANON LOVE THAT THE CREATOR OF HXH TRY TO NOT MAKE IT OBVIOUS 3.WHOLESOME 4.A FORMER PROFESSIONAL ASSASSIN X A PROFESSIONL TOO INNOCENT HUNTER=KILLUGON 5.I LIVE FOR KILLUGON 6.KILLUGON REASON WHY: Because of Sashmash, and even if that video didnt exist, i would still ship Killua and Gon because the thought of a former villain-like and a hero hunter falling inlove with each other is a legend, almost mythical! Plus the title is called hunter x hunter which basically means shipping two hunters Ex:Leopika(Leorio x Kurapika) and Killugon(Killua x Gon) Not to mention about the fact that the creator was insipired by a bl manga/anime and tried to make a bl basketball anime but it got rejected, so he made hunter x hunter instead and Killua and Gon is supposed to be young love but decided not too, even tho he was a bit stubborn and slipped some bit of KILLUGON THERE *PANTS HEAVILY* And not to mention about the fact that killua blushes everytime Gon says somrthing nice about him or rather, EVERY FEW SENTENCES, and the fact he gets jealous when Gon talks to others Ex:Palm and Retz/Retzu/Rets/Retsu IS EVEN BETTER And while they were working out in the gym, Killua asked Gon if he was ever on a date before A lot happened so im too lazy to say it but KILLUA THOUGHT "And i really don't want that to change.. Damn, im giving in.. I've already decided.." *HYPERVENTILATES AND DRINKS WATER WHIKE TYPING THIS* And the INFAMOUS HUNTERPEDIA KISS WHEN THEY WRRE INTRODUCING BIASE *HYPERVENTILATES AGGRESSIVELY* Ok, ok, ok imma calm down
This was literally me! I was like This is a kid’s show then I finished Chimera Ant and was like WTF Gon child what happened to my sweet little boy? Then I realized he wasn’t innocent from the get go lol still not done but it’s GOOD
It starts off with world building/character introductions and a slice of life kind of tone but then evolves with darker themes and insane character developments accompanied with some more compelling aspects. It's my favorite anime for a reason
Something drew me in to this masterpiece that I didn't realize until it was almost done. Unlike many other animes/mangas, Gon slowly had a descent into darkness from being such a kind and pure child. You could feel the distress within Killua grow over time. Such a well done piece of art.
Yeah, I get what you mean, but also at the same time, almost from the very beginning, you could tell that Gon was out of his mind. Actions that he took near the beginning and of the show indicate that Gon was psychotic.
He was never that of a "kind and pure child", yes, he was caring and kind but he's the selfishness incarnation. Never left that behind his own actions and you can see it early in the story
@@sapphirelight748 the creator has a lot of painful medical problems - I think it is mainly debilitating back pain - where he can barely sit down to draw. I think.
@@harryartonstill I really hate to say it because he is such a great writer but once he dies his wife has said she will finish it good news is she is the writer of salior moon and a few others so hopefully she will do a good job with it plus I think he already has what he planned on doing with it layed out for he to follow
Another thing I like about this show is that even though it had the typical "best friends/rivals" main two, it had them advance at almost the same speed (and with the secondary character sometimes surpassing the first, WITHOUT the first getting jealous and desperate, or vice versa). It made them feel a lot more like real people with different talents and personalities, rather than just an easy way to create a story plot/arc of Killua being an antagonist. And the way Gon and Killua continued to push and pull the other one along, encouraging them and comforting them, made their friendship even better. Despite me not liking Gon all that much, he's written great. idk i'm high and maybe reading too deep into this. Great video! lol It made me laugh
@@rayisarefregirator spoiler for those scrolling the comments: I've seen plenty reactors who felt very emotional and some who even cried for Kite's death so if a spectator can become that invested in a character they knew for a couple episodes, its not hard to understand Gon's reaction, given he was at said character's side for weeks, facing death together several times. Furthermore, many people don't consider Gon and Kite's hourly and daily interactions for the several weeks they spent alongside each other finding the ants. During that time, they developed a much deeper bond than what is visually portayed. So in that sense, if we put ourselves in Gon's shoes and also consider other determining factors like his mentality, morality, and previous actions that displayed the self-destructive lengths he's willing to reach for his personal gain, its objectively justifiable and well within his character to have committed such atrocious, self-destructive vengeance on Pitou.
Gon was so kind at the start, and couldnt even feel hatred towards the guys who broke his arm, but felt anger and bloodlust towards pitou. It's the scariest when the person who usually does not get angry gets angry
I feel like he wasn't angry with the ninja dude because he understood they were both just doing what they needed to do to pass the Hunter exam. I think the only reason he got so mad with Pitou was because Pitou literally turned Kite into a human puppet, even though he was going to avenge Kite anyways I think that's honestly what set him over the edge.
Enemy:HA it will take you another 10 years for you to beat me! Gon: oh, hmm okay.. *matures to the age he will be in 10 years* can I beat you now?! Enemy: *peeing there pants*
Togashis story telling is amazing. Morel doubting gons abilities and conviction regarding the mission was understandable, but the fact that even before it started gon was more mentally prepared than any of the other hunters is crazy. And actually ended up sacraficing one of the most important parts of his life, his NEN, just further adds to how amazing the story is.
There were some scenes left out, Gon, Kurapika and Leorio being impressed Killua returned home and opened the ton gates like nothing, Bisky scenes being impressed with both of them, Killua's family being impressed with how he can handle Alluka and escape by blackmailing them, the butler's being impressed with Killua's speed when they're after him, the butler being impressed with Killua's rhythm echo, Netero being impressed by both of them during their little game and while analyzing them during the hunter exam, along with a few other scenes I probably missed. The boys are prodigies and you could almost dedicate an entire episodes length to just them being praised/feared.
When Morel instructs Gon to treat him as if he were Pitou, Killua's numb reaction to his display of power and internal mourning is so sad to me. The fact that they're so matured at 12 is so upsetting.😭😭
Wing being terrified of these boys potential is what sold me. It's so genuine because he knows these kids will be real problems in the future and could be detrimental to the world if given the wrong guidance
This anime is so good, so sad that I only get to experience it for the first time once, wish I could relive my first time watching it really hope they finish it although they probably wont.
The manga and anime is really a gem, there are a lot of mysteries and foreshadowing happening, too bad it's been hiatus for a long time now. I don't wanna die not knowing how this will end.
When Pitou reacted to Gon while healing Komugi, I don’t think she was impressed, she was just scared because she was defenseless and couldn’t stop healing. Nen wise she’s many times stronger than Netero. Such a small display won’t impress her. But when Gin turned into Big Daddy, then yes. Because the decision to perform such a thing must have come from a madman.
She was scared of his potential and what he’ll eventually achieve…she misread a few things that overhyped Gon as well but in the end her fears was realised.
@@kevonbedford4078 That "eventually" was within a few hours. She did think he went for the king at first. And as Meruem himself said, putting a restriction on yourself such as placing your hands together/praying must be a decision done by a madman. Such actions to ants seemed absolutely mad.
@@pumpkingamebox No, I think she was impressed. The last time she saw Gon and Killua they were helpless to stop her from killing Kite. Not to mention Gon faced her unflinchingly
@@violetrose674 Without Big Daddy Gon, they're still very helpless to stop her. If you remember, no one outright won against the ants full stop. They all died from radiation poisoning. So if Pitou wasn't healing Komugi, she would have flattened them without question. Even after so much training, Gon and Killua were weak af.
Don't want them to grow old want them to be like that always 😭 but if Hunter x Hunter will finally come back maybe Yoshihiro Togashi has no choice but to make this characters adult now 🥺
gons story is unfortunately over, manga has been all about kurapika and even that has been on hiatus for what several years now. so probably no more content about gon and killua for us sadly, since togashi doesn't care frankly
@@wuuukii7225 Gons story is not over togashi said he will come back once he learned how to use nen again it will just take another 150 years until we reach that point
@@wuuukii7225 it’s been on hiatus for 3 years, actually. Gon’s story is not yet over, I highly doubt it :) I think it’s just their time to shine for now.
@@lealwilliams4402 I would say there are typically two main reasons why people could dislike dubs: - Bad voice actors (more they don't fit the character and not so much VA skill) - Bad translations
@@dogmuncher_69 Dub is never better because nothing beats the original intent from the creators. In Japan they have a ton of choices when it comes to voice actors and if they have to they redo scenes over and over until they are just right. Dub is ok for people that don't want to or can't read but saying it is better is a huge stretch. Some are on par to the original though like cowboy bebop.
Gon and Killua were talented enough to learn Ten (the first major principle of nen) with a few instructions, while Meruem was so connected with nen that for him, using Gyo (an advanced technique) was simply focusing his eyes
I like when killua gets "tortured" by his brother only for him to find out he was toying with him the whole time and breaks his restraints and walking away.
Hope i dont come-off as bratty but i do consider myself quite the Nen-Expert, so allow me to say: If anyone wants to ask any Questions about Nen or hasnt understood anything; or even if you just want to hear some Nen-Fun-Facts; please feel free to.
@@loturzelrestaurantcan gon still use nen, like from what I heard/understood he can but it's just harder and I don't think I understand the situation he is in
@@nicolas._.2294 No, he made a Nen-Vow to sarcifice it all. He still has Auracause hes 'alive' so you automatically have Aura, but no, his Nen is gone. If you dont understnad the situation AND make claims about the situatiion in the SAME COMMENT you seem a tad silly
You know anime is good if you don't already know how many episodes have you watched because of the good story plot. Didn't know i have already watched 100 episodes of this anime LOL
The contrast between gon at the start and the part that was shown at the end of this video is just insane. The scene where he kills the cat lady was just insane.
5:02 the coin game was a play all along if I remember correctly, when Gon and the guys left he showed Gon that he was a step forward always, he was maybe really testing gon honestly, or the last scene he was just showing that he could’ve gone a step further, at the of the day no matter how gon is special the butler is the butler of the zoldics with the power to manipulate coins using his nen when at the moment Gon didn’t even know what nen is (I am not really sure it’s only speculations and I haven’t watched the show in ages)
I think its funny that tonpa draws the line at killing, dude is totally fine with all the other evil shit he does but starts worrying about killuas health.
*I kept recommending this to my friend and even said to him this is as good as black clover. Too bad, he's gonna miss one of the greatest anime in his lifetime.*
Bc is the absolute most mid show ever like it isn't bad or great literally just mid story, mid acting, mid characters, mid animation. It's not even garbage just straight up mid I'd rather be trash than mid like that's just sad.
