Yeah, I came to the comments to say this. Andrew was already on the backfoot, and as a viewer, after seeing that, I just decided to skip to the end because the outcome was so obvious. I understand those little mistakes are a huge part of MESBG, but as a viewing experience watching a deflated Andrew just get destroyed over the board wasn't interesting to me. Maybe you guys just want practice games, and you're filming them and posting them for fun, and that's fine. But I think that if the purpose is to make entertaining battle reports, then you'd benefit quite a bit from doing things like picking a good scenario, and not letting small mistakes determine the outcome of the game when there's still 20 mins of video left. Just my 2 cents. Other than that, I love your guys' chemistry, the jokes, the game strategy, everything. But unfortunately this hasn't been the first video where the game itself has kind of fallen short, had a predictable outcome, and just made for a less interesting viewing experience.

(This is Andrew) That's all fair and something we'll keep in mind. We do often decide to skip scenario pools because they're too lop-sided for one of our lists, or if our last batrep was from that pool, or some other factor. Sometimes after we nix one, we're less inclined to nix the next one so I think that's probably what happened here, though I don't really remember. But the second part is that before we had this channel, this is what we did once per week anyway, to have semi-competitive games, so I think we're more inclined to let each other make their mistakes and play it out and learn lessons and all that stuff. And I'm also stubborn and don't want to be helped and want to pay for my mistakes, but yeah, I recognize that that's not great content all the time. All that said, this is one where we probably should have said "Okay let's not do the pool where elves get to just sit back and shoot". I think we can try to be more thoughtful about that going forward. Thanks for the feedback!

(Steven!) Definitely thanks for the feedback! I won't add much to what Andrew has said other than we DO tend to play competitively and in this case that elf list was a tournament contender for me... SO kinda needed to see it through! But we will endeavor to keep things fun! I will say; SOMETIMES you gotta do the scecnario that looks rough on paper; if only to be reminded that sometimes MESBG goes in wild directions- and that's often where the magic lives!

I can't find the corresponding actual document, but in the article from 2019/08/01 they say they're nerfing it from 6" to 3" (along with nature's wrath).

Ironically, in their current design (which should be revised if only to differentiate the High Elves a bit from their clones in Lorien & Mirkwood), Elves of Rivendell are way more effective against "Good" factions like these than their lore-appropriate foes.
