Mince pie With Christmas pudding ice cream with crumble topping rather than pastry
and the ice cream is a great way to use up leftover Christmas pudding, this recipe is so easy to make and will impress your friends and family.
Shopping List - makes 24
Ice Cream -
9 egg yolks
110gm caster sugar
375ml milk
375ml double/heavy cream
1 vanilla pod
450gm Christmas pudding
25ml glycerine
Sweet pastry -
270gm plain/all purpose flour
135gm butter
100gm icing sugar
2 egg yolks
100ml cream
Crumble -
300gm flour
150gm butter
120gm soft brown sugar

I love the name Christmas pudding Ice cream.... You broke me with adding actual Christmas pudding into the ice cream base. Love the trick with the Glycerine. I have never heard of that not even in school. I probably did but didn't pay attention. Thank you for teaching me that chef. I Love the decorated table with the christmas ornaments while you fill the mince pies. This is recipe and video is off the chain chef....I don't say that very much.....you killed it on this one especially with the Christmas Pudding Ice cream....Nice job......👍🏻six

Thanks they are delicious and I particularly like mince pies with crumble rather than pastry, the glycerine in ice cream works well and makes it soft to scoop 👨‍🍳

@@RichardsKitchen well that one was off the hook- I just loved the name of it and then I saw what you did. I do a similar technique during the holidays with something called turron. I am Cuban American and turron is my Christmas pudding and I put turron in the ice cream base but you taught me about the glycerine chef to make it more silky. When I saw you do that I thought oh gosh someone else does what I do. What is Christmas pudding ? Is it what I call a fruit cake?

Yes like Xmas cake but steamed, lots of dried fruit, grated orange, spices, Brandy, rum but we normally only eat it around Xmas time, the ice cream is a good way of using left over Xmas pudding up, I will have to look turron up 👍
