Hello i made this and let it cool completely but it split when i rolled it up, would it not be better the roll when it is still slightly warm? I baked it for 17 mins and would suggest it needs no more than 15/16. Was very tasty anyway so thanks for this video
I found Richard’s kitchen recipes when surfing to find Pear and Apple Chutney recipe. Then I checked other recipes too. Although this is a recently posted series of videos, this is the best with clarity with the ingredient list. I will comment again after making this. After a while this is going to be well known. 👏🏼👌🏼
I did it and it's great. I wonder if I could make it using only apples, which I have a lot of and I've already run out of pears. Thank you for a great recipe
Hello and thanks for the feedback, apples are ok with this recipe but be careful which apples you use, a nice crisp eating apple is best like Granny Smith or Pink Lady, cooking apples like Bramley break down and you end up with a purée rather than a chutney. As a side note I served this chutney with a stuffed belly of pork last week and it was amazing 😊😃👍

Chutney has at least a year's shelf life, as long as it's stored in a cool dark place. Some chutneys might even last up to two years. When opened, tightly covered and stored in the fridge, chutney should last at least a month.
