The highlight reel basically highlighted the themes of the 3 LOVE YOURSELF albums: Her, Tear, and Answer. In Her they find a love that they feel was destined to happen, a love so strong that they begin to live their whole life for their partner. (MVs: serendipity and DNA) They also experience euphoria in between the Her phase and the Tear phase sooo...👀 In Tear, they realize that they’ve been changing themselves, lying to themselves and their partners, in order to gain their love. And eventually the love becomes a “fake love” because they notice they’re using their relationship to cover up all their insecurities. (MVs: Singularity and Fake Love) In answer...I can’t tell you that bc you’re gonna be reacting to “Epiphany” soon 😂💜 (MVs: Epiphany and IDOL)

The theory is that Jin has been time travelling, in order to change the errors and mistakes in hopes to have a happy ending for everyone. That’s why at the end of the highlight reel, Jin catches the vase because he knew it would fall over and the fact that he puts a cap on and goes upstairs suggests that he chooses not to go to the date that he had because it would end up in the girl’s accident.

For the fact that bts doesn't usually uses the 'boy falls for girl' trope in their music and mvs and instead talk about all kinds of love, there's a theory about the girls being the representation of themselves. I personally think the girls represent their journey, I feel like they are the physical representation of struggles they've been through and the coming out of it.

There's lots of things happened but I can't spoil it. I hope one day this storyline could have its own movie (which i know it will but with the different actors and actress) that BTS themselve act as their own character. They are the real entertainer, idol and mentor

If people play close attention, when V and that girl were vandalizing the bus stop, you can see V writing ‘Save Me’ which in ‘Fake Love’ close to the end, there is a black graffiti message that says ‘Save Me’ behind him close to the end, and when J-hope was having his flashback at the carnival, his mom said ‘Close your eyes and count to 10’ but she never returned but you can see a object close to him, it was a snickers candy bar that his mom left him, which in ‘Fake Love’ he is laying in a big pile of Snickers, not only that but if you pay attention for the new armies, you’ll have to watch BTS’S ‘I NEED U’ to help understand the story better and I really recommend reading the story on WebToon to help understand it better as it shows the full story to the highlight reel, I hope this helped!

I read various theories about what these girls can mean. What I like the most is that girls mean their bonds in their package, e.g. the girl who connects Jungkook and Suga shows it. Many mv see their bond when JK rescues Suge from fire, or when they are beating / arguing. The most interesting for me is the moment when each of these girls falls asleep, disappears or faints. It's as if their relationship is disappearing. The second theory is that these girls represent their feelings like loneliness, hope, pain, helplessness. for example, Hoseok saves his hope, Jimin hides his pain. I think that each of us can see something different in this, combine and guess, but this is all the fun: D

People are probably gonna recommend watching the bts storyline from xceleste which IS one of the best theorys out there, but i would also like to recomment watching wings storyline from suga & spice. This wings explanation is to me the best for wings era 💯💯💯

two of the actresses ( the one with jk and jhope) are now in a kpop girl group ITZY... Their names are Yuna and Ryujin...They are actually good...check them out too

Two of the girls (Yuna and Ryujin) who appeared in their highlight reel were JYP Entertainment trainees then, and they debuted not too long ago in ITZY. ITZY is probably one of the top female groups now. JYP is friends with BigHit Entertainment's CEO and BTS' producer Hitman Bang. They used to work together, which explains their trainees' appearance in these highlight reels. Another two girls also had their debut in Cherry Bullet not too long ago as well. I've only been an Army since november '19. And i never even thought of following the storyline🙈 So now i'm having so much fun following caitlin following the storyline lol. And i'm so relieved that i'm not the only one confused by it all.

I think the down side of watching everything in one go is that you don't have enough time to feel that gut-sinking feeling when you realized that baby Hobi was abandoned by his mom... i remember when the first highlight reel came out and it ended exactly in that scene, i got really emotional i couldn't stop crying... but when you watch everything in one go the next scene just come out and you just immediately processing the new storyline. I'm not saying it's a bad thing tho, hahah... it's totally fine to watch everything at once, you'll connect things easier that way. I guess that's why when Bighit uploaded the last highlight reel they included all the previous ones too. I just kinda realized that the reason why Bighit posted them in parts are for that reason, so we can truly grasp the feelings, idk... It's just my observation, hahah...

J-hope was abandoned by his mother in the act, next to the boy was a Snickers, in the FAKE LOVE fishing J-hope lay on the candy. Also his solo song MAMA. Jimin is related to J-hope, he overloads himself with training to be the best. RM feels insecure, so he runs away from the problems of his own and others. Jin wants to help all his friends, when he changes clothes it means he is trying to help everyone again. the flowers that were in a vase they are there 7 how 7 participants. Jin can travel in time. Sorry, English is not my native language.
