Not to be confused with the John Lennon song. I can't believe that I wrote this song without knowing about the John Lennon song, but at that time I was more into The Beatles. It took a while before I started to listen to the songs that he did solo.
I loved The Beatles, and when they separated, I feel that they had nothing to bounce off. As when they were together they had to fight for their best song to be heard, there was nothing to filter out the mundane. Out of all of The Beatles, John Lennon was my favourite as his lyrics hit deeper than the songs that Paul McCartney which I always felt were a little bit shallow. Don't get me wrong there are some great Paul McCartney songs such as Maybe I'm Amazed, but John Lennon's song How Do You Sleep for me has more grit.
Anyway this is my song Mind Games, sorry about the fact that it has the same title, but all over the world people play mind games. They get inside your head, leaving you feeling helpless and alone.
