Listened Into the Magic Shop, great book. tears came to my eyes. It reminds my childhood, my story is similar, my father passed away when I was 4 and grew up with my mother, had a trouble after trouble in our lives. My only hope was to dream of becoming an engineer.Went to Uni in Sri Lanka, became a civil engineer, migrated to Australia, Melbourne. now living in a comfortable life. Now I am 50 and working as a water professional and lecturing at Uni as a part time lecturer. Helping young engineers grow and make the world better place. Got the Audible second book, "Magic Mind" not that bad, but it didnt touch like the first book. Thanks Dr. Jim for sharing your life story.

Years ago when I was a young single mom after being raised in U.S. in an Indian cult, as an orphan, and having experienced loss from the get-go and then significant abuse in the religious schools, I would listen to Marianne Williamson on cassette(I still have it!). She helped so much.

Very interesting!! I can really relate to "replace fear with love." That works! Example: I used to fear wild rodents. When I became vegan, I looked at rodents as little sentient beings that were childlike. I saw images of them hugging miniature teddy bears. So now I love them and can easily rescue them with my bare hands. Ditto with bugs. Ditto with humans.

Marianne, it seems that through your political ambitions, you avoided these topics. And I'm so glad to see you back here. I would love to see more videos of you chatting about your more spiritual ideas, whether through interviews or alone. It could just be my projections being pushed onto an innocent person, but I'm a little weary of this gentleman. The interviews that resulted in me purchasing an author's book were ones in which the interviewee was incredibly generous with the amount of information they provided in the interview for free. Here, this man says "it's not about money, it's about being of service," and yet he is so careful not to reveal too much in an attempt to get people to buy the book; more so than perhaps any author I've seen. When in fact, it is the divulgence of a good amount of information that makes one gain trust. He claims he would be okay if everything he had was taken away. Would he, though? He appears to be holding on tightly to making even more, considering how protective he feels over the ideas and techniques in the book, and your need to pay for them. Sure, many people can afford to spend $10-30 on a book, and it would a wise investment considering how much their lives could improve. But what about those who don't know how they'll pay their rent on the 1st, just a few days from now? I'm not sure there's anything here for them to learn from. Wouldn't a man who's living "to be of service" (because he's already made a great fortune) want to give them some actionable steps? Don't worry, sir, the people who can afford your book would still buy it. No need for scarcity thinking; it's the opposite of what you're teaching, no? In addition, the study he's referencing that apparently concluded people can grow muscle with thought: I did see another neuroscientist citing this in her interviews about law of attraction. She, too, appears credible, as I believe she worked at Oxford. And yet, I've seen other scientists debunking it, claiming the number of subjects that were able to grow muscle was very small, and the amount of muscle they grew was very small. As a result, it would be preposterous to claim that the thought exercises were the reasons they gained said muscle. We don't know what the subjects were doing in their off time. Anyway, I'm not a scientists, and I haven't read the study. But sounds dubious. No disrespect intended, but I've become skeptical of even neuroscientists and surgeons ever since Dr. Eben Alexander. An expose was written about him in which the author was able to interview hospital staff where his supposed near death experiences took place, and was able to pinpoint many lies he told in his account. If he lied about a lot of it, I don't trust any of it. Just because someone has or had a respectable profession doesn't mean their intentions are pure. He also seemed a little turned off when Marianne was talking about a woman's experience of living in this world, and the differences in how men and women are treated. I hope I'm wrong. I know I went on a tangent, but I really am trying to keep an open mind.

Former President Obama and former First Lady and Senator of NY, H. Clinton... to my knowledge have not given us an interview on the number and quality of death threats they received while being in power. Every word shared by Marianne has applied to both genders of color especially now... Women who heal their vulnerability with more gentleness teach men and all people how to best relate to the system. As Dr. Doty said it implied... unfairness is not always the unhealthiest road but perhaps an elder Latina in her 99th year with beautiful matriarchal power and love has a story to share... Power to interrupt is sometimes the game changer we need... Access to the poison of ego, is not such a blessing... No one who loves your work, Marianne, always agrees with you, but they love why you put on this earth. They love why you were born. They love why you were born!! They love why you were born!!!

There is much to learn in the simplicity of our mind. This is where creative genius is born. Love Always🥰

I love you Marianne, but couldn’t help notice how it seemed you were not present to DR Doty’s expression of masculine suffering when he read aloud the poem- he shared his tenderness that men are also wounded by societal structure of gender roles and it felt to me as you stepped right over that part of the conversation and continued talking about feminine suppression and misunderstanding. Both are true and equally damaging. I am a woman and love your work, but feel perhaps I’d like to hear you speak about the suffering of men as well- so that it can become part of the global conversation and understanding. Some Men also do what they do because society has pushed them into the proverbial corner. My two sense for what it’s worth. Thank you for your work!!!

I was in a room and in conversation today with a 32 year old woman and a 50ish man. Every time the woman spoke she only looked at the man as if speaking only to him. I was so disappointed because I had hoped that younger women would be beyond that way of thinking. It seemed to me she only gave the man importance and engaging with him. Very strange. Just mentioning to show that the stigma still exists in the younger generation. After all I’m only a senior woman.

I also loved, "...biases interfere with our learning." Right on! For example, I met a long-bearded tough male who was covered in gang tattoos and rode a Harley. I immediately thought, "Oh boy..." Now I find him to be one of the most empathetic, wise human beings on the planet. The people we tend to frown on can be some of the most amazing people.

It's easy for you to claim that if all your riches were taken away you'd be copacetic.

The thing is, it's good the mind has staying power. That it's hard to change beliefs---because once new, better beliefs are established, they stick. The mind isn't lazy. It just makes you be sure you want the new belief before it becomes reality. If it were easy to change beliefs and habits, they would have no staying power.

I appreciate him. So much effort into manifestation but in truth, it could be so simple: to ask for happiness and good health. That is it. That way, survival stuff will transform and possibly attitude will shift and there is not so much effort in the "doing" of it. So thanks both Dr. Doty and Marianne for having him on the show!

I love him for showing his emotions, am very impressed and grateful for his experience and knowledge that he is sharing and how he is serving humanity. However, one point NOT TO Trivialize, is if he had not made his material "fortune", he would probably still be "lost" and chasing money. Despite spiritually growing from the information that he would have received, that "money will not necessarily bring happiness", he had to experience it in his own skin to feel and understand. Hence, achieving and experiencing material wealth, made him feel & realize, that material wealth is merely a part of success - hence with this paradigm shift (now with belief and drive) he expanded further. Now he knew, and felt, what he truly needs to do (and be) to achieve inner happiness. Thus, I believe, it was imperative for him to first, reach his goal to become wealthy, otherwise he would probably not be, where he is and how he is today.

Wonderful interview thank you. I really think the message carried in the poem is so relevant for our modern world. At the end of the day psychological maturity/selfhood is reflected in the best possible integration of masculine and feminine qualities in each of our souls/consciousness/brain - eg gentle strength or power coexisting with vulnerability for both men and women. I understand the experience of women today, but let's not forget men who I believe have a far more difficult time confronting their needs in the face of more priority rights seemingly attributed to women. I worry that men are emasculated and deprived of the best free and potential expression of their identity. As CJ Jung said (to the effect) "inner conflicts not addressed in consciousness exist in the world as fate". The transgender thrust that we see today seems to be a direct reflection of the lack of integration of masculine/feminine integration on a psychological level.

I still have it. I speak often of what an amazing president you will be. You are the one that is going to bring peace, Joy, and harmony.

I want my daughter to love her mommy again. She does not see many things. Very sad, i was used and they worked through my own. Hard to comprehend how those you love might not be for you at all. I am really struggling to figure how to fix us, been at this a long time, from what has gone on. Pray all day and night on God helping as he will..Ive been through sooo much study..and prayer. Im 70, now, still looking for us back happy, again..... 💖💕💕💕💕 I know exactly how it came about. I fell over myself loving her so much but threw up things when it wasn't enough through her anger and this took away all i did to get her happy..there is alot from a forced lot of stuff, children don't see. So it's pretty hard to get her to see. As mothers we don't want the children scared seeing the struggles to keep them smoothly getting on. So, to explain it all, after, isn't what we let them see. I have just tried to explain, and she's shut me out. It's physically roughed me up, trying to just explain now. She says these are excuses. They are explaining the logic of how what and why of a lot. She thinks a shrink that's never heard one word from me, will do something in resolve. That's not much. Psychologists neeeeeeed to know an entire situation if analyzing !!!!!!!!!! They don't invite any family privately to hear squat. That in and of itself is a broken system. An injustice by not seeing yet soooo called fixing something they know nada about, fully !!! How does anyone analize half of any situation, i ask ???? Fix the psychology proffession, if you plan to fix others !!! That is the reality of reason and simple logic, from where i stand on the outskirts of it all and completely disrespected and ignored out here, just shatterd in heart....tried all the things dancing through it all. And validating her concerns through all the, shut ups, go aways. Yes, shattering so deeply after a while i say i never taught you to act like that. The blurt, but you know a bodý can go sooooo long validating and trying every angle and way with soooo much uplifting, it is exhausting, as through what we went through was. Im not that strong to change the world around these many extenuating circumstances i was in. 20 years of non stop studies as if one close can use my good heart, i saw far more ...than us in maaaany variables going on to all. I truly feel this is, to back and promote $$$$$ to and for, the psychology fields !! It's been made quite clear to me. It's all about making $$$$$$ in a "Nut" shell "so to speak" if the truth be known. I for one would love to see real healing !!!!
