The fact they had the Narrator from the Clone Wars show AI voice blew my mind. I recommend the Clone Wars mod for Empire At War called Republic At War iirc. So damn cool.
12:52 Probe droids are close, but I'd say that the smaller version that Darth Maul used on Tatooine in Episode 1 would be better. They're able to hover over a small area undetected whereas the probe droids got detected upon entry as potential asteroids. Edit: Personally, I don't believe Star Wars has an equivalent as the ships "radar" and droids are all so connected when it comes to the military versions. Such as Droid command ships. They see everything the droids do. At the same time, due to when the franchise started, it seems to have excluded a lot of communication technology beyond direct/pre-recorded direct messages and robots plugging into a console to transfer data.
Squad is pretty great, once we had a full Chinese transport chopper with like 12 guys inside, the pilot took off and instantly I knew we were in trouble because the view outside suddenly went sideways as we flew across the map 25 feet above the ground nearly horizontal. In the pilot’s defense we did in fact get to the point. The downside is that we had so much forward momentum that we couldn’t stop and we got splattered across the village we were supposed to be taking. What this means is that we had instantly lost momentum and were down a chopper for most of the match since vehicles don’t respawn the way they do in battlefield.
6:36 I love that droid sniper rifle because, in the original 2003 Clone Wars, you see a droid take the time to sight up on a clone, but then when he fires, the sniper just goes full auto like a machine gun.
Loved the video @Kip Reacts! Can't wait for the next video man! If I were to go pull an Animal Comparison with the AT-TE Walker, I'd have said "I See Arctic Horny Welmer!" because that's what the AT-TE's design is Based on...... One would say that it was a *Cannon Event* LMAO! Although, a Dung Beetle would work just as well, or maybe even a Capybara. Squad with the Star Wars Mods is Great to the Point where Star Wars: Battlefront 2 seems to be straddling the fine line between Mid and Trash!
Squad player here, I would most certainly recommend playing it. It recently had it's biggest update yet, introducing brand new infantry combat, which is magnificent to play. If you want to play a milsim, but don't want to bother having to find a community, like in arma, squad is the game for you.
I bought Squad just to play this mod, it's just so good. Also for the Star Wars UAV question, a quick answer would be CIS vehicles, however, a lot of separatists vehicles can be maned by humans, they just use droids. I feel like the Droid Gunship would be the best example, though, when you think about uav's.
@@KipReacts It really is! Sure the Protodeka is downsized to not be the size of an apartment building but it is still a Protodeka. There's also a giant AAT-like vehicle the CIS have called the SAT which I think is original to the mod and it's like if an AAT became a landship or something in terms of size. Humbled Son has like two clips where it appears and I can't seem to find footage of it outside those two clips but there's a fandom wiki for the mod that has a good picture of it and it lives up to the name SAT is short for, which according to the wiki is Super Assault Tank.
I debated on it. I'm not a huge GTA fan, just never got into it. I also hear there's been an issue with Copyright and the GTA VI trailer. Even from a design point I'd love to react to it, but Copyright is that proverbial Sword of Damocles here.
9:03 literally what battlefront 2 (2005) did, you had 2 capital ships and each had 2 cruisers for support, you would enter a interceptor(A-wing, TIE interceptor, etc.) in the hangar and fly around to destroy as many enemy starships as you can, load a ton of soldiers in a transport INTO the enemy capital ship to destroy it within or you could just just bomb the hell out of the capital ship with a bomber fighter (Y-wing TIE Bomber, etc.), or you could multi role with an fighter (X-wing, TIE fighter, etc) going on bombing and intercepting runs the game had a map that was on an asteroid, with a section that is in outer space, if you are a human, you would suffocate and die, but if you were a droid you could just use that as a flanking path, cause you don't need air just great stuff, specially for a ps2 game
If you are looking for a fun Star Wars casual shooter, I would highly recommend Battlefront II 2005. The graphics still hold up okay, and the AI does leave some things to desire. But if you just want to turn your brain off and blast some clankers, 10/10 would recommend.
for anyone who doesnt play squad or want to know what this mod is called it is called GC(Galactic Contention) on steam but sadly it is down atm because of Squads Updates but it is being fixed
