How airport baggage handlers would test this bag would be to let it hang off the back of a luggage cart with the wheels up and drag it across the tarmac to baggage claim, possibly neck down. They ground the corner off one of my skis that way.

I've cheecked the dual gigbag that Mono makes and both my guitars (Ibanezezezze) were absolutely fine! I didn't want to check them but the airline said I had to do it on the gate. Pretty nervous flight half-way across the globe but it was all good! Never have I been happier with a gear purchase.

100% incorrect! If you had done to a hardcase what we did to that Vertigo Ultra, both the guitar and case would be in pieces.

Gigbag's are cushioned, Hardcases will take a lot of impact, I also wonder how it would turn out... Carlton Case has a $1500 very hard case. They have a video, testing out...

Hard cases take the brunt of impact and distribute the force over the case. In a soft case, your guitar takes the force through the soft cushioning and it is the structural integrity for the case itself, therefore any weight or excessive force will be blasted right into the guitar

@@bassgoul Paul Davids's Fender guitar was broken in airport, with hard case, but I don't know how it happened... Not sure, if the clippers opened and guitar fell down...
