I recorded this video for the incoming Social Work majors at the University of Pittsburgh - but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to share this critical improv ritual with social work students everywhere!
Mindful Improv Thinking is a life and career changing framework bringing together mindfulness practice and skills from improvised comedy. In this video I share the I've Got your Back ritual, which improvisers around the world do before every show. If you're a social worker, or a social work student, this video will help you to set an intention to think different about how we do the work of bringing about change in the world. Social workers are amazing people who do amazing work, and this video is designed to encourage the entire social work profession to find hope through brave collaboration.
