I knew John Boyd as a lifeguard in Erie. Pennsylvania. He was a “no nonsense “ guy who would never compromise on anything. “40 Second” Boyd was America’s greatest Military Strategist...just Vice President Dick Cheney.
@@werunguns Not sure why, but it's something that Marines learn in OCS. This is taken straight from the OCS students outline "Although he was shunned by many peers and superiors in the Air Force, his significant contributions greatly improved air to air combat tactics..." Pg 147. He was probably shunned because he was so advanced.
A J I’m reading in him now. You’re right. His ideas were so novel in a culture that relies on tried and true. He didn’t care though and often criticized those who didn’t take him seriously. Was once threatened with a court martial for his ideas too. Brilliant fucking dude
EDIT: He didn't copy Coram Yeah it is just you reading Boyd: The Fighter Pilot Who Changed the Art of War... by Robert Coram. Why did you not give him credit?
onecrazyRikster I used multiple sources. Can you please reference to me exactly where I’m reading word for word from this book? If you are correct, I have no problem giving credit where credit is due.
onecrazyRikster Thanks, no problem. If it sounds like I’m reading, it’s because I had typed up what I was going to say in advance and used it throughout the video as a guide. I used multiple sources to put this together.
This theory looks so ridiculously trvial just like “to accomplish something start with the beginning and do it until you finish” or like “to win the war, start fighting and fight until you win the war”
It's clear you don't understand the nuances. Have you read Thinking, Fast and Slow by Kahneman. Check it out, you're making the basic mistake he describes.
