Mindy Campbell was a flight attendant and was invited to attend the 'Aloha from Hawaii' concert. Then, the next day, she was excited to find out that Elvis and his entourage would be passengers on their flight back to Los Angeles.
If Elvis had known that little girl wanted something he would have given her something snd probably a kiss too. He loved little children. The guys children tell his Elvis played with them at Graceland and gave them his own golf cart to ride. He bought them thivgs to play with and thry swam whenever they wanted.
Elvis was a poor boy no matter how successful he got he could relate to people who were just common people. Had a big heart for those in need too. Gospel was his main love. Recorded 10 gospel albums.
That encounter with Elvis was truly outstanding. This amazing memory she will have her entire life. Elvis had reached his pinnacle moment of his entertainment career, during this live event. Mam, you are a very lucky woman to live this experience.
Elvis would of probably given the little girl the jacket. Cute story. Elvis never forget that his fans where why he was where he was and grateful to them. RIP Elvis.
He was a nice person who never took himself seriously modern stars / performers could learn a lot from him. Great man brilliant talent the best ever end of .
The reason E was so humble or at least one reason is because he never did quite understand why God had given him all of that . He asked his mother that, why me.? And he knew that he really wasn’t the King and told people that Jesus was the king. That spirituality is what people felt around him that aura of God having a hand on E and making him everything. Has any other man ever sang like him or looked like him? No not even close.
How wonderful...seems he was so modest when he cudv been a real diva!! Sign of real talent with deep self awareness of it being a gift ...not ego driven like so many RIP Elvis...forever loved & missed 💞🙏🤟🏼🕊
When i lived in Memphis I was working in this ladys house in Germantown, just outside of Memphis and looked at her pics above her bed while in her bedroom and i saw this handwritten letter and what caught my eye was Elvis' signature at the bottom so i moved in closer and read the letter that Elvis wrote to her. In the letter Elvis was coming on to her and it said something like i hope we can spend some time together etc... So, when i went downstairs where she was sitting i asked her about the letter and she said years ago when she was a flight attentdant and Elvis ended up on the plane and she said she was not a fan whatsoever UNTIL that day after she met him. She said he flirted with her and talked to her the whole flight and wouldn't let her leave him and so the other flight attendants covered for her. He got her phone number etc. but he never called so she didn't get to go out with him but she said she was so taken by his charm and so down to earth by him that she was a big fan after that day!!!
..When Elvis Presley died in 1977, the official explanation was a heart attack but this 1979 special investigation reveals a massive coverup by police and medical authorities. When a video of a random, ordinary person talking about meeting Elvis in a very random and not particularly interesting way gets over a hundred thousand views, that says something about the legend of the man.
Sad, that was the beginning of the end for Elvis. After that concert Elvis got stoned and never was able to recover he tried but the drugs just got a hold upon him. He was such a great talent.
Look. Elvis was not perfect, not a saint, just a man with a gift to sing. He touched lives around the world. But Elvis did not exercise good self control. And he paid dearly for it. His health got worse and he died. But he loved God and people.
Sveta Browning he was an addi t like his Mother was. There is no self control in addiction, he had an illness that affected his thinking. You look young as you get older you yourself will have a hard time giving up things you love
Great story about the king. She mentions the courtesy of the audience at the Aloha concert. I've listened to that album probably 100 times and have always been so impressed that the audience would applaud politely then immediately quiet down so everyone could hear Elvis, the TCB band, and the Joe Guercio Orchestra. Extended whistles, screams, etc. could have ruined the soundtrack.
Somehow, for some reason, Elvis was -- *_maxed out_*-- on: looks (greek god looks), talent (don’t get me started lol), and charisma (I sensed this energy from the nosebleed seats in 1976. I can’t explain it. Soul energy?). He was maxed out by < _insert your religion’s god’s name here_ > on all three of those aspects, and never became vain or mean. Of course he wasn't perfect. Of course he had tantrums. But he was always embarrassed about it after, and apologized (in true Elvis style). _He just somehow never became a dxxkhead!_ After all these many years of being a fan, that's what still floors me to this day. He stayed real. Stayed kind. Stayed generous. Who's a modern equivalent? I don't know. No celebrity has ever had that much talent before or since. Keanu Reeves is the closest equivalent to what I'm (trying) to describe...
J'aime bien Elvis mais le problème est que je ne comprends pas l'anglais. C'est possible de mettre un sous titrage dans vos vidéos pour que je puisse comprendre. Question de politesse merci.
I don’t understand what she means by he was on the plane going home the next day, leaving Hawaii the next day, because he played two days worth of concerts
What kind of parents let their kid damage someone's clothing? ...Doesn't matter if it belongs to the king, pope or a homeless person , I'd have been non-too-pleased if my parents saw me do something like that.
Aloha from hawaii was a boring elvis ..already over the concerts and bored with silly big ballads 5th hat were writen for sinatra and humpindick..it was the exciting 1970 elvis by any stretch
Candice Rowe that was boring to me , if you look st his other live performances it was boring , he seemed down , he was divorced that year can’t have been feeling well , that’s been a book written about it
