Dearest Mindy, I recorded this for my Mother's memorial. My husband played the acoustic guitar and I sang it as best I could. There was no way I could sing it live. So a friend helped us record it at his studio for the memorial. I am so grateful for this song. Thank you so much for writing this and sharing it with us all! We gave you the credit for writing it, of course, and everyone really appreciated it so much! 🙏💔🙏

I remember the first time I heard this song. I was at one of your concerts in Oregon, first row in a smaller venue 12+ years ago. I was so touched by the emotion that I sat there and cried as you sang to us. My dad passed away last month and as I moved from my living experiences into memories, this was the first song that came to mind. I rediscovered my autographed CD and came full circle. Thank you for being part of my healing process.

I played this song to make my kids fall asleep. If I played it in the car they would fall asleep in their car seats. I played this while my mom was dying in the hospital. I play it now when I need to fall asleep. It’s unreal how a song can make you transport back to certain moments in time. ❤️

The time at 2:50 when she changes the way she says “oh, please don’t go!” You can really feel the deep emotions and almost desperation in her voice of really wanting that one more moment with her mother. It’s bittersweet and beautiful and sad and all of the emotions that are available to us in this world. Thanks Mindy for this performance.

Just found this song and it is so beautiful. Since 2014 I have lost my brother, my sisterin law, my best friend I ever had and both my sisters. To me this song makes me wish I had just one moment more with each of them. It makes me cry. I miss them all so very much. This song got me through the death of my father. A friend had shared this with me the day before the funeral and I think it was the best thing to have. It had become a mantra and this past August my husband passed from a heart attack at 35. Again this song came up again and saved me from drowning in the loss.
