there is nothing wrong with playing wilbur's songs. In fact, i would argue that it gives people a way to listen to the music that they like without supporting an artist that they dont want to I personally still listen to Wilbur's music. Of course what he has done is very bad but personally i am fine with listening to his music anyway. i definitely think that you should continue covering his work if you want to Great cover also!

The fact that more people haven't seen this kills me.

I think this creates a really interesting conversation about how people can separate art from the artist. I think that it really depends on each person, but in my opinion, this provides an avenue to enjoy Wilbur’s music without directly supporting him. It is the choice of the consumer to care about the art nearly severed from its original context.

thank you for this beautiful cover, I can not get myself to listen to him or his band anymore even tho it kills me because I do not want to support him, I had a personal connection to him when he saved me a few years ago so I can not seperate art from the artist, maybe I will learn someday but for now thank you for doing this amazing cover, it is comforting in a way

This song is such a comfort for me, I hate Wilbur. I do not support him. He’s disgusting. But Lovejoy’s songs, Wilbur’s songs… especially this one, is so special. It gives me comfort, idk how to explain, I feel safe while listening to it.
