Btw I actually tried to speedrun(can I use word "speedrun" as a verb? I don't know cuz my English is bad) and it was like 2 hours when I started to go to stronghold and it really happened to me

Just rmb, these professionals take 100 times more time than u in order to do this :) it does take alot of practice to speedrun Minecraft.

It's because he did all his damage in one landing of the dragon by placing the beds on top of the exit portal. This takes precise timing and you can easily lose a run by doing so. But still, an insane feat.

@@mmmmtortillas2462 yeah when the dragon takes too much damage in one landing she leaves but if you use beds and keep knocking her back so that she never lands eveb though she's trying to, the damage doesnt count and she wont leave.

If illumina had gotten the beds then he wouldn’t have taken the detour that eventually led to him digging straight down into the portal room. You never know if getting the beds would’ve helped or hurt the time

While I agree benex was more precise in this run than dream in his current record run, benex got lucky as well with how many pearl in portal, and dream was memeing some like spinning on killing iron golem and naming sword, so Dream is definitely capable of being more precise / efficient than he was.

They all have luck, if they do so much tries it's because they need more things than being precise. Trying a lot of seeds like they all do makes the challenge more equal. If you take one seed and you make them speedrun on it, it would be the luckiest that would win. You still can do a "set seed" where you give the seed before to let them tryhard it but there is still chance in this equation like the way that the pillars are placed and the behaviour of the enderdragon. If you want to do something just on skill you should create a map, let them tryhard it and fixing the behaviour of the boss in the way that it is less random. In conclusion, there is the same luck in those speedruns because of the amount of tries they do, it would be the chance if they only done some tries. If you take only two runs and you compare them you can see the difference of the luck but if you take all their work you can see the skill and technics. (And also, Dream trolls a lot, like when he loses time to change the name of his sword or when he does 360s to kill the gollem, etc) (But a competition would be really great to spectate)

Dream in my opinion is the best

Not really he tried for 8 hours a day for a week, and Benex got extremely lucky too, he just so happened to have 3 eyes in the portal with none of his 9 breaking, plus dream doesn't really care and messes around all the time, like when he spun around to kill the golem.
