As long as I know he's watching a statistic in the F3 panel that counts the number of entities in the direction he's looking at. This way he's able to know where is a bastion remnant.
Chests are always at the same spots. Depending on the bastion, there are also spots where you have certain odds of finding the chest. You just have to learn all these places, it isn't hard to do at all.
Fov 30 and entity count will help you find bastions. I already explained the exact strat in a couple of comments, just gotta scroll through them if you wanna know
That way I can see where bastions are, if you have entity distance on 500% you will see if there is a bastion once the entities spike up to a certain number in whatever direction ur turning into. 30 fov helps to make it more accurate
You go into 30 fov and spin around and while doing that you have to check ur entity count. The first number will show you the entities in the direction ur looking at and the second number will tell you the total entity count within ur render distance. So if you want to look for bastions use whatever render distance but make sure to set ur entity distance to 500%, otherwise you wont see bastions that are further away. Then you just have to check the first entity count and if that spikes up to 30-60, then there is most likely a bastion in that direction. (Sometimes you get a fake spike from gravel falling down, striders in lava pools or similar things)
@@alexfish128 its still the same on easy, they just deal less damage. Piglin Brutes are no joke, they kill you so quickly even on easy, especially without armor.
@@RealBenexYes, just like speedrunning in peaceful mode is not legal, similarly it is not legal in easy mode either. Many people speedrun even in (default) normal mode, so how will it be identified? For eg. If somone has broken Dream's record by playing in easy mode, But Dream has made that record in normal mode. So we can't identify whose speedrun is the best.
@@RajBansal7 no, it doesn't matter what difficulty you play in, as long as it is not peaceful. They all count in the same leaderboard, most people use easy because of some benefits like less damage from hostile mobs.
The lapis trick doesnt work anymore since the new world generation (1.18), but you can try to find caves with huge water pools and dive down, there is always a good chance to find multiple diamond veins. They also work the same as huge lavapools (the ones that are above y-54), you can go into any world and go into spectator mode and try this strategy out!
Sorry for the late answer, but here is how it works: You go into 30 fov and spin around and while doing that you have to check ur entity count. The first number will show you the entities in the direction ur looking at and the second number will tell you the total entity count within ur render distance. So if you want to look for bastions use whatever render distance but make sure to set ur entity distance to 500%, otherwise you wont see bastions that are further away.
