Can I just say Mojang has been making all the right moves recently. They've basically gone down my wishlist for how they nerfed and then buffed the mace, made riding entities through nether portals a part of the base game like I wanted, and now you can lede boats??
@@amspookI find it hard to trust Mojang (and to a greater extent, Microsoft) after they changed the copper bulb, along with all the other controversial stuff they’ve done in the recent past. I think it’ll take a long time for me to have that trust restored.
End crystals have set fire to the block they're placed on ever since the item was added in 1.9 but that function is exclusive to the End dimension. That fire also cannot be extinguished until the crystal is destroyed since it's constantly being placed. I remember trying to extinguish it once and I lost my water. Bedrock blocks also burn indefinitely; like netherack, 1.12+ magma blocks and 1.16+ soalsand/soil, in the End.
It really kind of sucks that Mace is still a 2D sprite. They have Heavy Core as a block already, all they need to do is add a stick and make it use that model as the "entity/builtin" when specifically held in hand, much like tridents.
It makes total sense why going in the End and having the platform encased by endstone drops exactly 100 endstone blocks, considering it deletes a 4 tile tall 5x5 space.
Darn the thumbnail had me so excited for a moment that we were getting colored lights in java Minecraft , being something we've wanted for years and given the festivities I got hyped for a sec over nothing lol.
3:36 End Crystals always did create fire on the block they stand when spawned in the end. Yes, always. They used to do it in the overworld too back before they were made obtainable in survival.
Wait hold up, pearls thrown threw portals now work even if you are in another dimension. Ok so pearl stasis chambers are cool, but annoying to set up and chunk load and stuff. What if you had a system to route a pearl through a series of portals (think hermitcraft mail system) and could use that as a teleporter? I wonder if the pearls can go through multiple portals. If they can then a pearl canon could send you really far into unloaded chunks that are linked with lots of portals.
I really just wonder what kind of farms ilmango would make with that end platform update. We may never know. Maybe docm will do something crazy with that feature instead.
What happens if you teleport somewhere with an entity riding you, instead of you riding an entity? Does it do the same thing and dismount your passengers and warp you, or not teleport you at all like it does in older versions?
@@whateverIwasthinkingatthetime Lmao, I don't care about the reporting feature at all, given that I don't play Minecraft all that much anymore. I'm glad that it's been left (mostly) forgotten about now, and the only real changes are for polish.
1.21 has so many new things, it'd be nice if you could make a quick rundown of the most important changes once it's out. I haven't been playing recently, because I'm waiting for this update, but I stopped following the snapshots.
Well there's wolf armor, new wolf variants, new Copper blocks new light blocks, new structures known as tricky trials uh 2 new hostile Mobs the bogged and the breeze 4 new potions, uhhhhhhhhhhh 2 new armor trims 2 new banner patterns 1 new weapon 3 new enchants and a partridge in a pear treeeeeee [might be missing some things but yea hope that helps]
Alright, strap in. Source: minecraft.wiki/w/Java_Edition_1.21 The Datapack version, if that's relevant for you, is 46. 1.21 is called the "Tricky Trials" update and adds a new structure called a Trial Chamber (minecraft.wiki/w/Trial_Chambers), an underground structure intended to pose a mid-game combat challenge. Possibly quite trivial in fully enchanted Netherite and with a bunch of golden carrots at hand, but you know - it's not intended for late game. With the trial chamber come a ton of new blocks, such as copper doors and trapdoors, copper grates, and the copper bulb, which has different stages at which it emits different light levels. We're also getting a new mob called the breeze, which is basically an Overworld blaze and drops breeze rods, which are used to craft the new wind charges. Wind charges are also what the Breeze fires at you, and they knock you back quite a bit. Another thing to know about the Trial Chamber is that it has new vaults instead of chests. Vaults need to be unlocked in order to gain their loot, they can be unlocked an unlimited amount of times, but every player can only unlock the same vault one time. This means that every player who finds a Trial Chamber and obtains a Key can get the loot - not like spawners or desert temples, where the first player gets all the loot and everyone else gets nothing. If you enter the Trial Chamber while having the Bad Omen effect, you trigger an Ominous Trial, which causes the spawners to become ominous and spawn more difficult mobs. We're also getting the Crafter, a block capable of automatically crafting any recipe you correctly supply it with. Universal Crafters are buildable, and they are massive contraptions of redstone technology. We're getting a new (and in my opinion overpowered) weapon called the Mace, which is crafted from Trial Chamber loot (specifically a breeze rod and a Heavy Core - the breeze rod is obtained by killing breeze, the Heavy Core is obtained from opening a Vault). The Mace is so powerful because it deals damage based on how far you fall right before using it, and completely negates any fall damage upon successfully hitting a mob with it. This enables it to theoretically one-shot a Warden if you fall far enough. The Mace also comes with three enchantments: Breach reduces the effectiveness of armor on the target. Density increases the damage per block fallen. And Wind Burst launches the attacker upwards. This means a Wind Burst Mace is now the single best weapon choice for killing enemies you can drop on top off, like Iron Golems. We're also getting more variations of the Tuff block, specifically Tuff Bricks, Slabs, Stairs, and Walls. Very exciting. There are three new effects, namely Oozing, Infested, and Weaving. These are obtainable on purpose through potions and, thus, tipped arrows. Infested potions are brewed with a block of Stone and the effect causes Silverfish to spawn near those who are affected with it. An Oozing potion is brewed with a slime block and causes slimes to spawn. And the Weaving potion is brewed using a cobweb and spawns more cobwebs, making them renewable at long last. Finally, the Wind Charged effect is also obtainable as a potion and is brewed using a breeze rod. It causes knockback to entities within range of the potion. There are two new banner patterns, namely Flow and Guster. Both are shown in X's video. There are three new music discs and, excitingly, 20 new paintings. Bad Omen is now obtained through a potion called the "Ominous Bottle", which is found in Trial Chambers and dropped by Raid captains. This means killing a Raid captain in a village will no longer automatically trigger a raid. It also means the Bad Omen effect is only obtainable on purpose anymore. This bottle stacks to 64. There are three new pottery sherds, two new Smithing Templates, and two new Spawn Eggs - Breeze and Bogged, which is the new Swamp-based Skeleton much like Strays are snow-based skeleton variants. The Bogged will, thus, naturally spawn in Swamps instead of regular skeletons. They shoot poison arrows (Strays shoot slowness arrows) and can be sheared, dropping up to 2 brown and up to 2 red mushrooms. They can also spawn underground. Animals will panic for 4 seconds instead of 8. Pistons are quieter now. Witches always drop at least 4 redstone dust upon death. Pandas, wolves, and polar bears only panic from damage relating to cactus, freezing, fire, or lightning. The link on the very top will give you more in-depth information, and that's also where you can look up all the technical stuff.
There's a new structure called the trail chambers with trail spawners and trail vaults. There are new copper block and tuff block variants. There's a new mini-boss in the trail chambers called the breeze which drops breeze rods. There's a new weapon called the mace with new enchantments. There are 20 paintings, 2 banner patterns, 2 armour trims and 2 pottery sherds added. There are also 4 new potions. Boats can now be leashed. You can now go into portals while riding entities with the new gamerule. Bad Omen effect was completely changed.
It is really hard to keep up to date with the updates especially when there's been several since you played. I was locked into 1.18.2 for years and only recently updated to 1.20.4 and it's actually kind of hard to see what's new over several versions. I tried asking ChatGPT but as usual, just made up nonsense. I ended up manually reading the changes of each release in the wiki. And I still keep forgetting about waterlogged leaves!
Here's a little theory about the green cube for the in-person event: It's related to, or flat out *is*, Orb of Night. The Orb of Dominance in MC Dungeons was a magenta orb with ties to the End and Ender. However, we know it has an Overworld counterpart, wielded by the Nameless One, the leader of the undead in that game. It's implied in game, but the novelization of the game specifically mentions that this green orb is 'powered by the night of this world,' and is an equal to the Orb of Dominance. This orb can grant sway and control over the Undead of the Overworld, so it stands to reason it could be used as story device in the experience
placing end crystals generates fire, regardless of whether you place it on bedrock or obsidian, but ONLY in the End, and that's been the case for a while now
No need fot your mind to be changed there because you're just right. Also would make it obvious that it is a more common, but still special piece of loot for the trial chambers compared to the heavy core/mace.
My understanding was placing an endcrystal in the end dimension spawns fire, like for the dragon spawning sequence. Placing them in other dimensions does not.
I have a question or two. About how long after June 13 will vanilla tweaks be updated? Are the server files released at the same time? (I like to play on a server just in case i got a friend joining, and im starting a fresh world at release) Does anyone knows if bobby is updadted fast also?
X's 1.20.5 vanilla tweaks video was released the same day that the update was released (April 23rd) so vanilla tweaks is probably going to be updated on June 13
Server files are released at the same time, however third party servers take longer to update. Paper will be unstable for ages, but Fabric and its performance mods shouldn't take too long, maybe only a few hours
@@itsarian. Fabric Loader is version independent, so it is instantly available. Fabric API is developed throughout snapshots so it is relatively quick since a lot of the work was already done. Also, lithium is also updated that quickly too
