Hey guys just to update: if you're using a signed book the signal strength is slightly different so you need 18 items in the hopper rather than 21. I used 'key' 15 1 1 1.

Cool thing I thought I should add.. replace the filler blocks with other keycards. I made one in my world and made keycards level one thru five. The one I build takes 3 and above. Gonna make more for my lab complex

Thanks alot!. I made a variant where the door is replaced with 4 sticky pistons (vertically) and the pressure plate is replaced with a button, and next to that one is another one. Button 1 closes the door, button 2 opens the door,

I started learning to play to play with my 12 yr. old daughter and I'm hooked because there is an actual process to things and I like things that involve brain work. However, there are just not very many even remotely competent Bedrock Tutorial Tubers out there and (I'm not even gonna go into the whole fakers and cheaters and mods using diatribe) I soooo appreciate your clear, concise and and lovely presentation skills. It's a real coup for me too that I found your channel before she did as she has been playing for more than a couple years. I think it's because she had friends to show her things and I didn't unless she was playing with me so I was constantly looking for help. Thanks a lot. Really helps me out, but the f you change the chest to a dropper, would the pressure plate activate it and drop the key onto the floor?

Whenever I put the keycard in the hopper, it goes straight into the chest. Help please?

For me, the hopper isnt picking up the key, why is that?

Excellent Video! This really helped me understand how these things work. I was wondering if I were to push all the redstone a couple blocks to the side, would I be able to incorporate a piston door instead of the iron door?

Why is using a piston with obsidian in front of it necessary? Would a normal block break the circuit?
