So it could be very useful in raid farms, if done correctly:)
@@sanjinii8325 yeppers, I started to feel more comfortable about the disappearing trident bug when I saw that they had fixed it in the betas. I was really anxious for them to release the fix but decided to just live with it until then. I lost 51 tridents (of which 47 had Impaling V), no joke, most of them at a weird raid farm I came up with that spawns the mobs inside trapdoor-based trident killers. It has two 5×2 platforms and the upper portion performs a little more consistently when you throw two tridents per trapdoor, so that's 41 tridents at that farm alone. I'm such a t killer fanatic that my iron farm uses one, even though Looting doesn't apply, just to reduce the time-to-kill.
Even though this is more efficient, i always liked the idea of it being more like a blender, like the old design looks like it could actually work in real life
I like the old design also but I walked away from my farm and 30 mins later I came back and my game was lagging because it couldn't keep up with all the pigmen😂
I took your concept and lined a wall of a 9x9 room under a blaze spawner. My minecarts bounce back and forth across the room for 9 rows bringing blazes to the trident. Each blaze gets the cross the room a time or two, but they all die before the spawner is ready for the next round of spawns. Simplest blaze spawner farm I have ever seen. Thank you for this new flexibility.
I love that you are pushing the boundaries, please keep doing so. I won't be using this design as it's really buggy and I'm more than happy with the previous observer based design. Sometimes I have to log off really quick as my kids are an issue 😅. But keep pushing Soilent this is what makes you great.
Could this be implemented into a guardian farm, where the water source in a single unit design is the spawn spot for the guardians? Could be an easy overworld only design if the guardians jumping doesn’t cause any problems. Plz like so silent sees
@@connerwolfe2196 it wont as to many guardians spawn ... I dont know how affective this duble trident killer would work , maybe a quad would be able to face the spawns
It does work. I just built a modified version that only uses one trident per spawn spot. Have to replace the fence with an end rod though or else the loot won’t fall down
I hope that the trident killer is a feature and not a bug And it’s really useful because in bedrock edition we don’t have the sweping thing in the sword so ...
Just so everyone knows, there is currently a bug where unloading chunks(this include exiting the world) will cause any tridents in them to disappear. MAKE SURE YOU PICK UP YOUR TRIDENTS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE AREA
So great! I suggest creating a tutorial where you can choose to send the mod to a trident killer (to use a farm afk) or switching to send mobs into a blast chamber (to make them blow with a charged creeper). In this way you can use all your mob farms in both ways. Cheers

Just been using it on my 4 portal gold farm and it is inconsistent and keep breaking sadly, I think it’s cause too many piglins fall and it can’t keep up :(
Having water in this system makes it possible to have a tripwire-activated trident killer that’s only on when mobs are in it. I couldn’t make it work in the nether without mobs escaping but seems possible with bedrock’s unique rules about waterlogging
I figured out a version of this that doesn't require minecarts or directional alignment. Simply place the trapdoors on top of a Soulsand Bubble Column, with the bottom trapdoor waterlogged and leaving a space open on the side of the waterlogged trapdoor for water to flow out of it, and feed the mobs in from the bottom of the bubble column. The bubble column pushes the mobs up against the trident, no matter which direction it's oriented, and the water flowing from the side of the waterlogged trapdoor pulls out the XP and items so they can be sorted. Still doesn't work for cave spiders though, since the little buggers can slide out the side.
I built an Wither skeleton farm with my friend, that I have designed by myself! It works really good and get us like 2 skulls a minute :) Btw its a fortress farm where the mobs spawn inside of trident killers and die instantly
I've noticed that if you replace the lower trap doors with top slabs and two sticky pistons linked to the comparator circuit you won't have any items get stuck in the system. Have had zero losses since making this alteration. Using for a guardian farm.
Idk if you’re already working on this, but I’m using a version of your ghast farm instead of torches I’m using jack-o-lanterns with this new trident killer design on top of them. When the ghast spawn they start dying immediately.
Silent, it'd be really helpful if you make a video about how to properly transport item in the nether. Maybe a video showcasing all the means of item transporting.
I built a nice four portal gold farm out on an island. I don't use it much since it overwhelms the blender trident killer in just a short time. Thank you for this. :-) I'll go give it a try and see if it can keep up. I'm sure it will be a noticeable improvement over the blender.
Since a couple of weeks I have tridents breaking minecarts in the older tridentkillers. The minecart is under the kill spot, so even though there js a solid block between the trident and the minecart, the trident falls through (!) and breaks the minecart with hopper. The minecart with hopper can then be found in the chest, and the trident somewhere around the minecart original location or on the floor.
Even though Mojang fixed the bug that caused tridents to fall through the world into the void, my Guardian farm (your advanced, overworld-only design, which is thoroughly excellent) is still kinda broken because the tridents fall through the glass blocks when I leave. I'm experimenting with one of the cells to see if the problem could be solved with this trapdoor flapper design. Here's hoping!
He says that he is planning on building a new and improved raid farm for truly bedrock. I am assuming he will also make a tutorial for it after he makes and tests it on TB.
i found a fix. line your falling chamber with trapdoors that go up the side all the way up to were you mobs fall from. "facing" the tridents. so it would seem like they are blocked out. then get yeet your tridents in right on the line between the 2 trapdoors. this stops other pigs from pushing ur trident, and keeps ur trident in baby killing postion.

It really kills quick, but properly placing tridents is problematic, I had to rethrow mines about 5 times - I had problem with them not hitting mobs, falling down, also I had couple of situations when baby zombie was sitting in the cart not taking damage (hopefully latest rethrow fix that). Unfortunately it didn't help, still getting baby zombies stuck in the minecart. I even had baby zombie glitch somehow down into item/xp water stream once. I decided to change it into standard, 4-piston trident killer instead.
Please help the baby zombied piglin is not getting killed he is just sitting in the minecart and the chamber is getting full of zombified piglins because the baby zombies are not dying and sitting in the minecart please help
I have some issues with both the tridents and minecarts moving after a while. I think it could be because there is a lot of fish in there and they don’t go in the minecarts, they just push them around. Edit: Fixed by building a roof over the farm. It works great now!
@@buglord1 Is the roof built out of solid blocks? Not glass or slabs? The mechanics may have changed since I built it, I haven’t played lately so I am not sure if it still works the same way
With two max portal gold farm this couldn't keep up but did kill quite a few Ziglins until the baby zombified piglins occupied all four carts and the killing completely stopped
2 Questions 1.- Are you aplying this trident killers to your expert guardian farm? 2.- Do u have a new design for creeper farm, like with portals sending them to the nether to mass kill them with harming potions like ur expert guardian farm?
For literally everyone talking about the baby zombies which are really annoying, if you go to around 3 minutes in the video the solution he gives to a lot of mobs should work (it did for mine) GL and this works amazing for my custom mob farm that involves scaffolding water mechanics. It’s a classic mob farm cube but instead of just spawning platforms I used Silents scaffolding mob farm design. I recommend it as instead of waiting for love to try walking across the trapdoors, they are forced. :)
Okay so all seemed well. I built it. Threw the tridents, the trinnets re-aligned, the trap doors are moving, the water is flowing. Then I put down a skeleton spawner to test it out, jumped on the pressure plate and they're just... not dying?
add an additional trap door in the center flipped up after you add the trident to make sure it doesn’t get bumped out of position. He very briefly shows how in the middle somewhere.
Hey Silent! Love this design. However, i’ve been having problems with baby zombie piglins clogging up the minecarts sometimes and not really getting killed. I’m not sure if you mentioned a fix for this in the video, but what would you recommend?
Same here. It was keeping up at first but now after about 3 min there are enough pigeons to drop my frames. Just not killing fast cause those babies are stuck and taking up a spot
I got stuck on this part too. No matter what you do they are just too short to get killed when sitting in a minecart. A little fix that I tried was throwing multiple tridents on each trap door. It didn't solve the issue completely but if you can take up more hit box area, then better. I'm still trying to solve it literally right now lol.
@@arasark I figured out that if you build the Trident killer in one row, not the square, you can get them. Your afk spot has to be opposite side of them so when they look at you it helps with the hit box. Plus multiple tridents sometimes helps too. But I got mine up and running and works really well. I have 5 23x23 portals dumping out massive amounts of zombie pigs and it keeps up. Total of ten trident trap door killers.
@13:42 I did that first with wooden trapdoors that somehow got toggled shut, then used iron trapdoors (since I have more iron than I know what to do with). After running the farm for a while, my minecarts got flushed out in the water stream (under the trapdoors) and down into my collection system where they got burned up in a cauldron of lava. I'm rebuilding the chamber yet again, this time with half slabs instead of trapdoors. No minecart is going to escape under those. :-) I'm still having issues with throwing the tridents, but I'll keep at it. I had to put another set of trapdoors higher in my drop shoot to keep zombie piglins from dropping on my head.
I want to use that trident killer for a gold farm but i think the baby piggos will get stuck in the minecart...can you come up with a baby piggo filter? kinda challenging you lol :D love the vids! Tks silent!

Just tried building this. Quad killer can't seem to keep up with a quad-portal gold farm, partially due to the fact that it isn't killing the baby zombies. They're taking up the valuable mine cart space! Any fix for that?
@@Scottybones11 I went back to a blender style Trident killer. 19 block drop to dry land with two tridents in the blender. Quad hopper carts under the drop area. Front glass to allow for experience collection and two deep encasement everywhere else to prevent mobs glitching use. Current keeps up with my 23x23 4 portal gold farm. Now I just need to double my sorting/smelting system.
It's definitely work very well, and very fast. But I build it for gold farm, and somehow it can't able to kill baby pigling. I try many way but it not work, after afk 10min 4minecart is being full with baby pigling, and they can't killed. 😅 If anyone have any solution please reply me 🙏🙏🙏
