if you do a part two, maybe go mining for diamonds and get enchantments, i cant see anything less than diamond with any prot keeping you alive long enough to do anything meaningful to the boss

Oh i remember this mod! I got it cause I was bored and wanted to spice up modded Minecraft mod. I will say for me the books helped me out so much when I couldn't figure out how to kill the bosses, but they were never in order so it took me a bit to figure out which book was for which boss. And if I'm remembering correctly the sun boss is a pain to even kill...

The mobs that keep bothering you are probably coming from spawners in the walls or floor, and lighting the place up with torches would probably stop them.
