i think what happened with the world generation is that its probably a glitch since in 1.17 the bedrock was lowered but either your in 1.16 using a mod to add the 1.17 stuff and the mod glitched and didnt lower the bedrock or its a glitch that mojang doesnt know yet, but i dont know why the rest of the chunks are gone
