Minecraft Command Tutorial: Learning How to Use /testfor in Minecraft | 1.12.2 | pre-1.13

The /testfor command in Minecraft has been a well loved command! Sadly, it will not be making its way into the new 1.13 update, however, it won't be necessary, since the functionality will be accomplished by other commands. In this video, we look at the basics of the command and one example of the advanced usage of the command!

I miss /testfor. I used to have fun with that. I made weightless rpg arrows once. They always complicate the nbt data. [My poont being the in ground tag] I also made grenades (utilizing a fishingrod).

Hello, thanks for the tutorial. I'm using Minecraft Education Edition and I would like to introduce basics of economy/trading into my lessons. I've read that you can create customizable villagers and have them use emeralds as a currency to trade for items. I cannot find a tutorial on how to do that. If it's not possible, can I use a regular NPC and chain commands like /testfor > /remove > /give to imitate a trading experience? Or can you suggest a better way?

My first testfor tutorial: Testfor @p[x=5 , y=2 , z=-12 , r=1] put it to repeat,set it to always active and then comparator next to it and please note: if you saw the comparator doesn't work and the previous output says no targets matched selector just stand to the to the coordinates i gave you: 5 , 2 , -12 that's all 😇😇

I can't testfor items with multiple words, for example /testfor @e[type=item,name=nautilus_shell] but it can't detect it because it has multiple words for the name

Use the repeat like, when you put the block on a repeat command block, then when you break the block on top of the command block, the block appears again. How do you do it?

ok.. what the heck is happening. It's not spamming anymore, but i still see the command with all that stuff and also, it only detects me once and doesnt go off. For example, it detects me and then if i back out, it stays on... ok now that i read that it sounds like something it is meant to do.. maybe... im too lazy to delete that. But also, if i do delete the comparator, i put it back, and it doesn't detect me... idk if im an idiot or something is wrong... PLEASE RESPOND
