Minecraft | How to build a medieval Shipyard - Tutorial

This week we are going to build a small shipyard. You can rearrange the single smaller builds depending on the space you have. A few things didn't make it into the video. Like a dry dock.

thank you so much for your tutorials they’re incredibly put together and SOOOO BEAUTIFUL. i love having pretty builds in my world but have zero ability to conceptualize them myself, so it’s a real treat to follow along, and learn along the way

Nice to hear you like them :) Sure, I think it would be a nice fit into a bigger harbor. There are also a few builds I originally wanted to add but the video got to long, like a sailmaker workshop, a dry dock, more and bigger cranes, a second ship that is already finished and decorated to be launched (just a few ideas)

This build and the Sawmill are both wonderful. Have you thought about doing a quarry in a similar style?

I had only just discovered you when I commented on the other video and I may or may not have been binge watching your videos all afternoon… I love the mix of aesthetic farms and other pretty builds you have on your channel, it’s such a nice balance. So far I’ve been getting my farm tutorials from aJack and Nuvola, they’re the MVPs of aesthetic farms, but you’re honestly on the same level and it’s a shame you don’t have more subscribers yet. I’ve already subbed and I’ll be telling my friends about you! You have some builds, like this shipyard, the sawmill and some smaller farms, that are definitely going on my to do list. I think I’ll have to modify the sawmill since I need to hide the tnt duper part of a tree farm inside, but this build is exactly what I was looking for to improve our small-ish starter base.

Thank you very much! The shipyard is definitely one of my favorites :) Wait a bit on the sawmill. I'm working on an automated tree farm version of it at the moment. I hope it's going to be ready for the next video. Time is a problem, since this is more or less just a hobby besides work, family and friends. Maybe one day with more subscribers I'll be able to put more time in my videos. Until then I think Nuvola & co are one or two levels above me ;) Have a niche weekend and happy building!

@@armun Oh I already have the tree farm, it's the versatile one by ianxofour. It's a massive build, so we wanted to hide it underground but we miscalculated a bit and now parts of it are sticking out. Therefore the attempt to hide it haha. I am looking forward to what you're going to come up with though, maybe that one will be easier! Is it going to be just the straight trees or all sorts? Have a nice weekend as well!

@@elisahundt7780 The one by shulkercraft, the verasitle one is a bit hard to hide. Better, but I think not everyone wants to do a 10.000+ block build to hide it above ground ;)

That would solve a lot of I problems putting it in something nice... Guess I'll spend the evening trying a few things... Underground, beneath my sawmill, upgrade it a bit, add an item elevator and maybe autosort...

@HONKEYDOG7887 Happy to hear that. I always try to make it as easy as possible while not being too boring to watch. There might be a second part. Not sure yet. A few things didn't make it into the video like a dry dock, a finished ship decorated with flags, a sail maker... just to name a few if you are looking for ideas ;)

this is great! one question tho, how many blocks up should it be from the water?

I built it 2 blocks above water level. I think it looks best.You can see it quite good at 0:05. You can change it of course but keep in mind that you'd then also have to change the ramp/slip. If you build it higher, the ramp needs to be either longer or steeper and vise versa. And then you also might have to built everything else further back if the ramp is longer... I hope this helped. Sure! 7570962642585254213 Generated in 1.17. Not sure if it's LB, but I think not. It's also heavily terraformed so don't expect it to look exactly like in my videos.
