Answering your most asked questions! 1. You DO dig down by 7 layers. The first layer you dig is in between the spruce planks that make up the outline, then 6 blocks below these (7 in total). There's a number in the top left corner when I'm digging out the layers to show this (1:17). 2. To stop mobs from getting into the base you can add a couple of fence gates between the logs at the top of the stairs. 3. For the staircase, the first step is on the same level as the slabs, between the stripped logs. Then we add 3 more sets coming up from this, so 4 in total (4:27). 4. The full materials list (with block names) is in the description. Some may look a little different because of the shaders. 5. When I dig the room out it is all dirt because I used world edit to replace all of the blocks in that area with dirt so I didn't run into any caves/gravel while recording. Please note that this tutorial was made in creative and I cut out/sped up parts where I'm digging or placing blocks in the walls/floors so you don't get bored watching me do it. This is why it seems like it doesn't take me long to build it.

Useful tip: for any of the spruce/related materials, put 4 spruce saplings next to each other and use bone meal. It will create a giant tree that will supply tons of spruce.

This shape and design is my go to for an underground section for my base now because I like having my nether portal underground near my mine. Made a couple of tweaks (like having the entry to my mine hidden in a design change) but overall love this build

Such a good build for a survival world! I built in my new one and its amazing, huge and tons of ideas for stuff, i done up certain places in the build like the chest storage i dug a tunnel and made a hallway of chests and other side villager trading and finally on the nether portal i made it so it turns off and on! One thing I added for my world was I changed up some minor designs with the entrance and I also made the base in the new update so I took advantage of the new greenery blocks and added them to the outside for an extra pop of color. E.g, moss, flowery bushes, flowery leaves, and some trees. And it really just made it look great. Thanks this is an awesome build.

I didn't make this exact build, I did however use the concept in creating an interesting addition to my treehouse base, basically same concept only bigger hole surrounding the area with the treehouse making it an island surrounded by blue glass and a huge underground hub, complete with railways leading to my other bases, several xp farms, huge floorspace to make all sorts of devices. The hardest part was clearing the mobs out while digging until I got the lights in. Thanks for the inspiration and ideas

I used this tutorial to get the general shape and frame. The rest of it and the stuff inside I freehanded and it turned out amazing! I even put an aquarium that looks like a geode in the wall behind the bed with two axolotls in it!

this build was fun to build i really enjoyed it i used this build as a starter base in my world for minecolonies 1.20.1 worked perfectly felt like there was enough storage to get going and room to improve if i just changed a few things to expand on thank you for the great video and build
