I read some comments that suggested to replace the lava with 24 minecarts because the lava was not killing the shulkers. The lava is not suppose to kill the shulkers. The lava is only there to stop the bullets from the shulker. the shulkers themself die from entity cramming because there are to many in one spot. when replaceing the lava with minecarts (if i am not mistaking) the bullets are free to fly and may take out the one minecart that is supposed to pick up the shulkers. So in short. Just wait a bit for the farm to start up.

A couple of notes: 1- build a hopper/dropper system to bring the loot away from the kill chamber. 2- if you notice your shulkers start to build up all over the farm, the minecart was probably destroyed. clear the farm and replace the minecart 3- materials list is wrong/missing items. you need extra scaffolding, slabs, and building blocks. you also need a fence gate and extra normal rails. the farm is great! one of the few that currently works. I only found it because iJevin linked it in a Hermitcraft video

@@ron3940 i kinda gave up trying to kill all of them because they keep respawing, break the slab on top of where the minecart is supposed to be and try to place the minecart and the slabs back Once that is done, then the rest of shulker will be teleported into the lava block and die from entity cramming

While this farm may not be a giant producer it works in 1.20.4 unlike most of the farms using armor stands! Great job and thank you. The schematic worked perfectly.

If anyone is having the issue of Shulkers killing the minecart to fast. build a cage around the area above the trapdoors and hopper, just extend the 2 trap doors, turn the on from the side and cap one on top not filling the block inside. I filled mine with lava to be safe but same same.

very good farm (java 1.20.4) - I don't recommend dirt for the rail foundation (Enderman-grief). Also a furnace minecart + invisibility potions could be helpful for transporting the "starter"-shulker to the farm. Also as said in other comments: you need a fance-gate (not in the material-list) plus temporary a lot more rails (normal, powered + levers) but it's worth it! Thank you for the tutorial! One last thing: at 1:09 the text is "2 stairs" - but you need 2 slaps. And I also use a bunch of hoppers to transport the shulker-shells to the ground.

The fix to the broken minecart is to modify the farm by adding hopper minecarts (these do not lock under the powered rails) under the blocks that have the rails (powered and activator), sitting on top of a regular rail on top of a regular hopper (one hopper will need to point to a hopper minecart) pointing in to a dropper to dispenser system that will shoot up and place the minecart back on the powered rails. Make sure to button the observers and blocks you add. The lever that powers the powered rail will need to move to accommodate the hopper minecart; this can be relocated by replacing the lone scaffolding that is holding the rail with a solid block and attaching the lever there. This works like a charm and I was able to run the farm for over 11 hours without it failing. Thanks @AdilGamez for putting the detailed tutorial together.

For me, I had issues with the minecart breaking, stray shulker bullets were going through the scaffolding and destroying the minecart through the trapdoors, to fix this I replaced the scaffolding at the killing champer with whole blocks and then put buttons on the side (you can also use stairs) and then I replaced the 2 trap doors on the sides of the minecart enclosure with stairs and a button on top, and this solved my issue. (1.20.5)

I had this issue as well and i did what you suggested and it worked for a bit until the minecart broke again and i believe some of the shulker shots were going through the trapdoor in the front. Any suggestions?

What is the point of an item list, when it doesn't include items you'll need to build the farm. Either you have to know not to trust the list, or you have to make frequent trips between the End and your base to get items that weren't mentioned, e.g. temporary rails

Make sure to build the scaffolding up to the collection chest and button it before starting the farm, or shulkers will keep spawning onto the pillar as you're trying to make it. Also be careful, if a shulker shoots at you when collecting loot and misses it can break the minecart which breaks the farm. Other than that it worked perfectly first time for me in 1.20.4 fabric.

What I did was to high up scaffolding out of the 8 block range from the 24 ones and place the button on the top. Any range lower than that causes exactly what you explain. I can reach the chest perfectly

Does this farm need to face a particular direction? I have gone over the design several times. The only thing I suspect it might be is maybe the endermite cart needs to go all the way up to the wall. The farm is working... but it's generating maybe 16 shells/hr. Are the snowballs supposed to hit the wall or the shulker continuously? edit: That was exactly the problem. Be sure to push that endermite all the way into the wall as possible.

Works on 1.20.4! I missed the slab right next to the lava source, had to kill that shulker and try again once I fixed that. Second one jumped right in and it works great!

1.20.6, survival, multiplayer server, overworld build here. Had same problem everyone else seems to be having. Cart would not last 5 to 10 minutes. My fix was pretty simple, replaced the two trapdoors by cart with glass and buttons. Then just did a circle around entire cart and scaffolding in that area with glass and buttons. Going on 30 min now and it has not broke and almost 2 stacks of shells. EDIT: 55 min, cart broke again.............. replaced.............. lasted a bit over 30 min, but broke again............ Time to move on................. Fun while it lasted.

Farm is working really good. As another user suggested we had to replace the trapdoors next to the minecart in the killchamber with upside down stairs to prevent the minecart from continously breaking (for real, every 20 seconds it broke). Dont forget to place a button on top of the stairs! Is there a way to prevent hundreds of shulker bullets around the farm? (Its no problem for me but i rather dont see them if possible)

I removed the whole endermite cage, wall, minecart, and trapdoor because it kept despawning for me on my paper server, placed buttons where snowmen are, and 2 blocks above their head, placed a upper slab where the wall was, filled the rest in with solid blocks/buttons/slabs. The snowmen still do their job, very occasionally one will be hit and killed by shulker. After several hours down to 7 snowmen and they are doing just fine. works in 1.20.4, thank you.

Problem solved, i had only powered rails. Switched one piece activator rail and works like a charm. Build it in a survival server and gets me about 300 shulkershells per hour.

oh i think thats normal because when u look at 0:03 u can see a shulker on the scaffolding (on my farm they also tp there and then they just teleport back in the minecart and lava)

The minecart on the rail keeps breaking after 20-30 minutes. I've tried standing far below the farm (30+ block); 10 blocks away, and then in creative next to the farm and it breaks every time. Anyone else has this problem. Playing 1.20.1 version.

I've been noticing this, too! Not sure why the minecart is breaking. I've noticed some mentioning if you use 24 minecarts as their kill location instead of the lava, their projectiles can break the minecart(s)--problem is, I'm not doing that! I'm using it exactly as was shown in the video and that's why I'm lost...

Can you explain how this setup is reliably replacing the shulker in the path of the snowballs? There's so much randomness happening with the teleports/dupes, and it seems like the observers are just constantly looping and not really observing any changes in the system, so I'm wondering how (or if) it detects that a new snowball victim is needed? I assume the piston and gate have something to do with it, but I can't make sense of it.

That's not what the lava's there for, so don't panic: you're not doing it wrong. I suggest waiting a while (idle in a hole or somewhere you won't aggro enders) for the farm to get up to speed. It can take quite a while, judging by other comments.

@@noahjorgensen172 same thing happened to me, made a schematic of the chamber the shulker was in and realised the minecart with the endermite wasn't pushed fully against the wall, so the snowball was hitting the endermite instead of the shulker, all i had to do was push it a little bit so it lined up with the wall and the farm was fine.

I cant help too much but heres what I think i know from watching the farm for 30 mins. Shulkers teleport when they're low and dupe when they're killed by anything other than a player in survival. This farm uses scaffoldings to force certain teleport options. These options are funneled into an item crammer. 24 entities can be in a 1x1, killing anything above the cap giving you shulker shells while duping. I dont know how much this is right but by trying to figure out why my minecart is breaking, I dont know and havent solved that. pls correct and help if seen

I cannot physically get the shulker to the farm, it hits the activator rail and then spawns on the side of the dirt that the rail is on, i have spend 5x more time trying to get a shulker in than I did building the farm. You make it seem so easy, is there some type of mechanic or chunk border thing you just didn't mention that needs to be done to get the shulker in?

@batmey5462 I play on a Java server that I am hosting. I just removed the farm and built one by kelp mc and that did it for me, I now get like 1000 shulker shells an hour

3 minecarts, adding the one to capture the shulker. Also, this isn't break-proof, I added some chests and went AFK for like 3-4 hours only to find barely 1 hour's worth of farming in this... Is there any way to actually make it absolutely automatic?

Dont know if this will be seen but i have it in the lava block but its still shooting bullets all over the place and breaking the minecart very quickly, want to know if there is a fix for it

i have seen this problem in the comments and i have found a solution so here you go: if your shulkers are'nt dieing in the lava, replace the lava with 24 minecarts to entity cram the shulkers. ive tested it in 1.20.4 should work in any other version too but can't be sure yet but the actual farm is great cudos to you and to the designer for it its fantastic

This does not work in 1.20.6. lava is not destroying shulker bullets and so, the minecart will break in a minute and shulkers will be everywhere. Try some other farm.

I think I put in a lot of work today only to discover this. =( They duplicate and end up where they should really well, but it's a shulker bullet hell in the air around the thing that I don't think I can approach and deal with...

replace lava with 24 minecarts to entity cram the shulkers, dunno why the minecart keeps breaking it shouldnt are you sure it is not being shot by the shulker bullets or something? remeber to put a shulker in the central location underneath the piston for it to work
