To avoid the expolsions: build the player's area a bit further to the left, up to 12 blocks away from the wall in front of the furnace. Rates: 3600/hr, so it can kill a stack of withers in a stack of seconds (just over one minute). It only takes longer to get the stack of nether stars because of the delay between starting the machine and the first withers dying. But if you're running the machine for a long time, you will get a stack of withers killed in a stack of seconds. Minecart cramming is unnecessary, as the withers can cram each other once there are at least 25. Suffocation in the bedrock can remove the last few withers. Worth it? Yes. It's way easier to build than Borkon's tutorialess 4500/hr machine, but gets you 80% the speed. Thanks for your design.
Nice, easy and efficient design, with an easy to follow tutorial. Works like a charm in 1.20.4, and with a beacon the damage to the player is for all practical purpose non-existing. As others have pointed out, the player area can be moved back 6-7 blocks, which should be far enough to be outside the blast radius. Only minor inconvenience is the lack of narration, but the "subtitles" works.
So glad I found this, thank you very much for the video. The effort required to build this is so much less than other Wither Killers, but it's still just as fast. Was able to run two shulkers of skulls in 20 minutes and didn't lose a single star. Well done.
This farm is crazy. I tested it because I thought there was no way a farm this simple--involving withers--was going to work. It does, and it's crazy efficient. 1.20.4
You can place a dropper facing downwards as the block directly above you and if you hook it up to the observer clock, it'll drop soul sand at the rate you place it so you don't have to keep switching to a new stack. Now I just gotta figure out how to feed skulls into the dispensers
Works in 1.20.4 (including the 1.21 data pack). Tips for NOT dying to wither blasts. - Full beacon with resistance 1 and Regen - Diamond / Netherite gear - Build your piston pusher to the piston limit (12), which is 9 blocks away from the closest piston - Enclose your AFK area in Obsidian It may be overkill, but I wasn't dying.

tx, i really enjoyed ur video. that was hard to build this machine in the nexer, without breaking any bedrock. i tryed my best to find the perfect spot. and after that i did it. CAn't use more that 32 sand in a row, couse they are breacking my trolley. if u can help with that, i will glad to hear that)
in my 1.19.2 java world I built this farm and run it for about 80 withers to spawn. 2 of them somehow managed to escape and now fly in my End island chasing poor endermen. very fast and easy farm, but be prepared to kill some free withers!

@@alexflygh2109 obviously because I'm playing in that survival world with holo and I saw how it works🫣unless you want to decorate your house with beacons(which is what we literally did), the farm is basically just a contraption for fun and satisfaction🥹
