Changing settings is what made a big difference for me. Once I had a handle on the machine I started changing settings. Took a while to understand but it can make a huge difference in finds.
Hello again from Fiji, and thanks for sharing another nice video. You got some good discoveries, a nice mixed lot, and a lot of coins well done. Until next time, have a great weekend, Natalie🙋♀️😉👍
i chuckled as you were searching and saying, it's not that good, i dont think i'll stay,, but you end up with a gold ring and a boat load of coins,, hah!
That park surprised me. Someone must have hit up by the tot lot already. There were very few targets. Once I hit the open area it got better. Gold is the key and it showed its beautiful head :)
I struggle with it very much. I love finding gold as we all do. I will have to turn off 18 and lower to force myself to chase silver coins. I still find quite a few but not as many as I could.
I agree. It’s only the second one that I have found that way :) this video is a good depiction of how I pinpoint land targets with the coil. Also using the different sensitivity settings and retune feature on the carrot helps to locate the target quickly in the hole or plug.
eallky enjoyed the tips you pointed out and that was a beautiful ring. I am in Kitsap county where are you located? I've been decting for 5 months now.
Today I am in puyallup. I will be detecting somewhere this afternoon. I live down in Clark county. Stick with it. The first 9 months are the hardest. Getting to where you can use all metal mode helps. Takes time on the coil.
I have been working the CTX for the last couple months. I swing a lot slower with that beast. Both weight and recovery speed need the slower swing. The good news is now that the top layer is clean I can go back and find the deeper targets.
I would if I was anywhere near gold fields. Just being able to get out and detect is a bonus. Can’t get away for days to drive hundreds of miles to placer areas. :(
Do you mean the aluminum screw caps? If so they are usually a 22/23. I would have no issue passing those targets if shallow. Worst case I would miss a dime or copper penny. Aluminum screw caps also sound different than a ring. It can be tough in trashy areas especially with the 15” coil. I like it to cover ground I don’t know. If it is too much because of trash, I may not want to hunt that area. Those type of areas get passed by everyone for the same reason. You can always come back and take time with the 6” coil if you have the patience for it.
@@lwfloors1 Many of the caps here read as high as 26/27 and as big as a dollar coin. But I still managed to pull out a silver ring and $3.50 in clad today with a little tweaking on the Nox, Love this machine!
No. I have been traveling for work too much and not getting enough time detecting. I have got out but not when I am set to record; after work for an hour in the dark mainly. I did have a great clad hunt the other night. 2 hours in the dark pulled 8$. I am sitting on 237 rings now but the ring finds have slowed.I am heading to Charlotte all next week and hoping I can get a hunt in to record.
Is that 20 sensitivity? Can you go higher whit that coil? I'm asking because some people, with the Coilteck 15'' coil said that could not go higher than 20 because of chatter.
I can go as high as the area will let me. It is not the coil as much as emi from houses, power lines, underground utilities and the like. I rarely go above 23 as iron falsing gets pretty bad but it has happened. I would love to try the coiltek 15”. Hard to justify the cost when I already have the Minelab.
