Spent a day on a small creek known for it's fine gold with the Gold Monster 1000 from Minelab. This detector is known for being able to detect fine gold and I wanted to see how small it could pick up. The gold minster 1000 from Minelab did an amazing job finding very small gold. I was very happy with it's performance. And I had a great day on the river metal detecting and gold panning.

Detecting is a good way for someone to get outside and get a little sun (or night moon!) and maybe find a few old coins, some cool relics from bygone times, and even some silver coins and gold jewelry. The fact that it's just plain fun even when you're not finding anything good does a lot to help you along.

I once borrowed a metal detector from a friend. Unfortunately, I chose to metal detect in an area that had very high deposits of iron ore. So, of course the metal detector was giving signals left and right and center and above and beyond. I did manage however to find an old horseshoe. Good for me!

Dan, it's neat to FIANLLY see a metal detector that can locate smaller pieces, like the ones you found in the video! All the detectors I've seen prior to this wouldn't set off for pieces as small as the ones you found. In the area I reside in, that's IMPORTANT to me, as we find small gold here!

Just a heads up I’ve had all iron signals turn to gold after getting down to the target with the monster depending on soil and moisture conditions. Also if anyone uses the monster with the coil under water remove the protective cover first to prevent false signals from it filling with water great day and finds on the creek thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏻👊🏻 P.S. nice placement and chasing of the fish to get him on camera👌🏼

Awesome video as always! Remember guys, don't always rely on your screen with this machine, it could be a piece of gold with iron in it, in which you'll get a heavy iron signal sometimes and it can be misleading!

I have used the Gold Bug 2 Fisher for yrs with success, however the new gold monster 1000 is much easier to tune and work with overall, I recently bought one for myself and very satisfied.

At the part where you show the strong iron signal, and say that you're not going to dig it. Are you not worried that there may be gold with the iron and you're potentially missing out? Of if there was gold with the iron, would it display non ferrous regardless of the iron signal?

It's disgusting that more people watch the fake gold hunter's then the people actually finding real gold. They just walk around with a metal detector and pull these huge boulders 6 to 18 inches deep some the size of your head lol and the sad thing is PEOPLE THINK IT'S REAL. There was a guy on Maximov's page that was so pissed because he spent money after he located the place Maximov was searching and just picking up rocks off the ground with no tool's lol. He bought a plane ticket and even made a video of it being the same spot. I can't believe anyone could believe it's real but so many people do. I think RU-vid needs to start either banning people that are generally lying to the viewers or making them put a disclaimer saying that this isn't real.

Hello Mr heard....... love everything you guys do. You may not remember but I told you about a year ago that I was going to grab a gold monster 1000. I'm on disability and it took forever to save the money to purchase this thing. I had mentioned that I would love to come and meet you guys and hopefully you guys to show me how to use this thing and possibly find some gold with you. If you have the time and don't mind I would certainly love to start making my way to you. Because the retarded Democrats are in office gas is through the roof so it will take me a few months to get there but that should put me there right around fall and if that's not convenient I could wait until spring. I hope that you don't mind helping me out. If things have changed and you can't I thoroughly understand. If you can I certainly will need to be able to get a hold of you. Maybe through a PO box or something I don't know. I'm not overly computer savvy and was in a coma a few years ago. I don't have a family to help me with things like computers but if you said it was okay for me to come there believe me I would start making my way in that direction. Hi Dan. Where I live, we don't have any pickers, definitely no nugs. All of the gold I find is flour gold or almost flour. Definitely not going to register on a metal detector. I only find gold in places with high concentrations of magnetite sand. If I don't see black sand I stop digging and look someplace else. I've tried using my metal detector to find black sand deposits on the sand and gravel deposits without much luck. I've read on a forum that some people use a metal detector in this manner. Am I wasting time trying to do this or is there a specific technique or detector I should be using? I have a Garret ACE 200. About as cheap as they get.

Not sure how that machine works in your neck of the woods with your soils but you’d be surprised how small of a piece of au that machine will find check out nugget shooter journals with bill southern he’s great and has a wealth of knowledge on these machines, oh and thanks for the video Dan you’re great too!!!

at 8:39 you were falsing on the iron target in the bottom of the hole. You can get nice tones from junk when the loop isn't directly over your target or the target is off the edge of the loop. Not trying to throw shade, just trying to be helpful.
