Take 2 weeks off, drive 3000 kilometers to the middle of Western Australia and you find that your detector is F%(#*) Imagine that happening to you. #minelab #metaldetecting #metaldetector

You could possibly put a. Couple strips of hit glue on the mylar strips to chsnge the frequency it vibrates at. Greatly reducing the chance of the copper work hardening with a little blob of glue on the connection point. While still being flexable . I think id much rather have a ribbon cable making the connection! Also possibly putting some mineral oil in the screw holes. To make the tiny passages hydrophobic, keeping water from wicking into the inside. Also a small bit applied with cotton swab on the seams before assembly. To prevent the seams from wicking moisture. this only works with tiny gaps to prevent capalaryf action where small droplets 💦 travel through a gap without pressure, sometimes aginst gravity. Mineral oil or petroleum jelly should work. even chapstick on the screws befor installing. And on the seams not enough to really be seen just enough to coat the surface, like wax on a car to shed water. However there is another thing that can prevent water from entering seams and screw holes. Pinstriping tape for cars and motorcycles. Comes in widths from 1-6 mm normally. And possibly as wide as 20-25+ mm cover the seams and screw holes with the tape and then install the screws the tape will make a seal under the screws.. just trying to help give some ideas . To save this equipment the gold platingis so thin it may only be a couple atoms thick. Sometimes it can nearly be seen through, the copper or nickel /silver visible through it. Almost not worth the extra cost. It can prevent some corrosion bare copper can not handle. Also desiccant moisture absorber pouches can be hot glued inside a detector also. To prevent humidity from condensing inside. And for travel a box with bungee cords loosely crossing the top so the detector is sbout 50mm from the bottom when sat on them can reduce vibration damage also. With the price of these machines, pritecting them is definitely worth the effort.. sorry to ramble, have an awesome day!✌️

Hello, Mr. Woody. Please tell me which coil to choose from nugget finders.12 inch, 15 inch, 17×13,17×11.so far, only 17x13 is available, is it worth buying it?

Nugget Finder coils are very good, 17 x 13 should be getting most targets.
