I'm having trouble finding help with the long sleeve t shirt view D. I'm confused with the neckline instructions on the pattern. Is there a tutorial for this? I'm thinking about just putting in a bias tape to finish the neckline instead of using the printed interface pieces.
So Disapointed. Maybe you can help . Cut out the medium to my bust size, and have constructed the top, however when i come to put in the sleeves and tacked them in they are hanging over an inch from my shoulders, and the neckline is very baggy. I have tried sewing an 1" seam allowance around the sleeve , tapering to 3/4" then 5/8" to keep the bust fitting ok, but it still doesn't feel comfortable. although sewing the seam at 1" does seem to make the neckline sit better. Is there somewhere you can direct me for pointers please?
The top does have a lot of ease. My suggestion is to cut out a smaller size and do a full bust adjustment. Using your full bust size often makes the whole top much bigger all over especially around the neck and shoulders. An upper bust measurement is often a more accurate way of sizing patterns and then adjusting the things you need to change for your body shape - in this case your bust. It means the rest of the top will have a better fit. Check out a tutorial on doing a FBA and you will find it useful for all garment fitting. Fingers crossed.
