When he said there was clucking I was like, (why are there chickens in this mine?). Then he said that there were life-like statues and I was like OH GOD!
pretty fun to listen to, but kris/scott/mike playing dark sun is the greatest. in those dark sun recordings, not only is the table talk funny, but all the in-world stuff is hilarious
It's definitely a cool genre. I've been dying to find free time to try out Darkest Dungeon, but, if I'm sitting at a table and roleplaying, I overwhelmingly prefer to invest in my PC and really watch them progress and grow. Sometimes, the addiction turns me into a YT growler (hopefully not a full on troll), but that's only when I haven't RPGed properly for awhile XD "I'm not addicted to tabletop gaming! I can stop anytime! Fine, I'll roll my will save to stop..."
not sure if its just bad luck or maybe the dm is creating scenarios too difficult for their current play level but i always see it kind of as a bad thing when a dm has to bring in random quest member B who is late to the quest immediatly after another dies. it means in my opinion that the dm needs to spend a bit more time developing things because it isnt after all a dm's job to kill off players but rather to make things fun. yes being challenging is important but its important to leave multiple conceivable escape routes for players about to die.
Most of these games that they play have a bunch of pre-gen characters that they choose, so in all likely hood he grabbed one of the others and put it into play
+companyoflosers Mines of madness is a really hard pre-made game, especially for new players ( seriously puprle worm right off the bat). Many youtube dnd players said that you really shouldnt use this for beginning players or rusty players.
@@JCaseTompkins that is the most idiotic thing ive ever heard. a dm's job is to make the game fun and challenging. sure they shouldn't have to hold their hands and make sure there is always an abort button whenever the players get in too deep, but they are NOT there to kill them. adversarial DM's that think its me vs them are the worst.
@@companyoflosers Must be doing it wrong. I guess I'll go tell my five separate games and twenty odd players they aren't having any fun. They sure will be disappointed.
