According to Ruger, all metal parts that come into contact with other metal parts should be lubricated with gun grease. Not sure if that is really necessary. I have a 582 + series Ranch model. Added an Accu-Strut and a Mo-Reaper muzzle brake. I can't believe how much more accurate the rifle is now.
Another big on Grease but it collects a lot of dirt I'm a big fan of synthetic oil as far as it being more accurate in a competition yesterday at 50 yds I was able to put the bullet through the same hole and definitely does make a difference I'm not saying I could do that every day but I was shooting off the hood of a truck in the competition
Great job,... Thanks. My gas pipe moves. It is loose in its mount, not terribly bad but has some movement in its seating. Can this be tightned, or is this mount a machine press fit into the forward mounting?? Have not taken down the forward bracket (allen screws) to check.... Thoughts please.
If you have any kind of opticon it makes it a hell of a lot but I taken them in and out without having remove the bolt stop if they do not have a scope on them now I just remove the bolt stop when I have the ones that I used to have my sights on if you're running iron sights then you don't technically need to
