They came out great and the intro was top notch. I think the cool tones you used created a nice contrast against the warmer armor colour and really helped the two to gel. Great work!
These are great. Love when people put so much depth into a base that flows with the mini rather than standing apart. Im not the best at this so tend to over simplify my bases to keep it from going ham on me...
This was incredible!!! The mushies, the spites, and the color pallet added SO much to the bases!! A full table in this style would be gorgeous!! I could totally see it around a forest! You just have to be sure to check your trees for wild Robs.
Rob - You are fantastic....watched the outro a couple times cause of you. BIG HUG!!! You and the entire team are doing amazing work. Don't kill yourselves because we want to see more....just like Mark Rober...I think it is safe to say this community will gladly wait however long it took to see another video with no pressure, judgement, and/or hate. Love all you guys!
They look really great. Making terrain and dioramas with that theme would be really cool. During the print signing live stream, Jazza said he was not very interested in model trains except maybe to blow them up so I re-offer a suggestion from another viewer : make a WH40K diorama of orks attacking a train station, against Imperial Guards maybe?
When Dave said he was going to make some bioluminescent mushrooms my mind immediately pictured the six foot tall mushrooms from Blackreach in Skyrim. Maybe you can use them for an underground or subterranean setting for your Stormcast Eternals. Along with the little pink-purple glowing plants we find in The Forgotten Vale.
Wow, these turned out amazing! I love the colour choices, especially the additions you made with the mushrooms and critters! They go so nicely with the characters colours.
Those bases are really cool! They bring the whole model together. Please make a gaming board based on that! Also I think the whole production budget was spent on the intro so we got a nonexistent outro 🤣
So… I may (read absolutely did) have backed a Kickstarter based off of one of your videos recently. So I’ve got a few (200+) minis coming whenever they come. Kinda bricking it a bit, super excited, very nervous. Wish me luck!!!!
I really like the work you've done on the bases and I can't even imagine how a whole board in this style will look! But why is the audio cut together so heavely? I mean the intro was just epic!
Im pretty new so I have a question Does base size matter too much for warhammer minis, or does giving minis a slightly larger or smaller base affect the game too much? P.S. Great work Dave another fantastic video and fantastic hair
It does, usually its recommended not to modify the base size the mini comes with. I dont play in competitive tournaments outside my own store (and even then, im all about narrative and casual) - BUT I generally stick to a rule of 'the base size they come with' OR one size larger for characters only.
The bases look nice, but I'm not a fan of the footprint some of them have. If I want to measure things, I don't want the base to extend in random directions.
For those looking for the bases (I got the urge to internet sleuth), I'm pretty sure those are the ancient ruins bases from dragon forge www.dragonforge.com/Painting%20service/for%20sale/base_sets/sci-fi/ancient%20ruins.htm
