Facts I like doing these mini styles but that takedown is a no-go. And you can't leave them in too long bc if u do u end up loc'd 😩which I love, but I'm don't want yet/again.

I think we're living inside each other's heads. I literally just did some mini braids in my hair on Monday. Gurl...I dunno who gon take mine out either. When u find out who's gonna take urs out, plz help a sista out! 🤣 PS. I notice that the braids hold moisture better than twists.

I’m doing this for the rest of quarantine/summer to see how much my hair grows.. I’ve had braids in for almost a month now... I will update this if anyone wants..🤣 Edit: so it’s 2 months. I took it down at the beginning of this month. And whew childrenss... Detangled for 2 days . But about one inch of hair growth and maintenance. Now I’m doing mini twists until summer over...
@@sarahhamdan5470 it worked real well. My hair was probably the longest it’s ever been. My hair has always been long, but it’s been stuck at the and length for all my life tho, but braids are the only thing that helps it grow. However, ever since summer ended I’ve been wearing my natural hair out-no growth 😅 I recently got my hair straightened and cut a hair cut of about 3-4 inches... ugh. I want to braid my hair up more often but I look white boyish and braids accentuate that, so I prefer my natural fro., which hides my face and is a complete distraction from it. I’m thinking about wearing braids and twists for several months straight with few breaks, however that is out of my element. 🤣 I definitely recommend but I’ve seen some videos wear some women say it simply doesn’t work for them and that’s usually dry 4c hair which doesn’t obtain moisture well... but that’s up to you .
@@Sonder_stoic my hair is actually more around the 3b point... I really like the concept of braids and how they look but I don't know if my hair could hold them for long, you know? And I tried just making one braid today abt the same size section in the video and it looks way smaller, so I feel like if I git braids imma end up removing them in 2 days... I still wanna try tho, I feel quarantine is the best time to expeirament with my hair... anyways, thx for the quick respons I wasn't expecting that! And sorry for any spelling mistakes lol...
@@sarahhamdan5470 The woman in the video has thicker hair probably. You have fairly loose hair so idk... My sister has loose curly hair, but it is VERY thick 🤣 so her hair can handle it. Maybe try mini twists before you try this? Or try higher braids? Is your hair wet? Because if you braid your hair wet it’s gonna look thinner Until it dries
@@Sonder_stoic Yes it is wet... and I tried twists once and I didn't put in as many twists as I wanted to, I would also probably try a different technique for twists if I did them again... I don't think it would turn out to be like the RU-vidr's hair but you made me think it's worth trying! Maybe I'll switch some things up and let my hair dry and see...
My mom did this one me and I LOVED it. When I took them out my hair had grown so much omg. I was so surprised because I don't usually do protective styles since I'm tenderheaded
Thanks. I tried your technique and it only took me 3 1/2 hours to accomplish & I kept it for 2 weeks. This is my new favorite style. Your technique not only made it easy to put in, I took it out easily & didn’t lose any hair!

Like almost twa shirt and it still looked good. You may have to go a little small so it doesn't look too spacey. Also you could wear a wig on top while looking after your hair to retain length?

I do mine over two or three days. Just do one half one day. Put in a bun. And next time you have time you do the other half. During a movie or something time goes fast
@@gurlsforce was going to tell her to watch a movie while doing them. I have been plaiting my hair for 7 years now but thank God for the Netflix. Prepare your meals first so when you take your breaks, you can have an hour and then go back to it.
I do mini braids all the time and I find it the best protective style because it stretches my hair and I can keep track of my growth easily.......u slayed girl😍💯
I did it!!! I watched this in November. I still wear wigs over it but my hair has grown a lot. The curl pattern shows even more after I moisturize it!!! I love thisss!!! I can't wait until the length gets a little more favorable so I don't even want to bother with wigs anymore!!!

I did this I say maybe it took me a few hours and I only took long because I had to drive my brother somewhere and my nails are long. I like how they looked at first but they got a little frizzy fast because I barely used any product and I didn’t do it tight since I have long nails

Mini braids not worth it when it comes to taking them out. The last time I got some was 3 years ago. It took me hours to get them bastards out, never again. I came a inch of cutting them out., not worth it to me...

I just happened to click on this video, looking for easy to do hair styles with natural hair as i am tryin to leave weaves alone and finally comin into lovin my natural hair no matter the length and without seeing any of your other video's...so i hope this dont come out wrong but i sat there and watched you do your whole head... got to the part when you finished n I thought, its nice n all but it seem to fit you more than it would on me..since your a stud🤦...(forgive me now) and was just about to click off and you came back beat to the godddddds now i want to take my 4inches of hair you corroborate this hairstyle... So glad i clicked because just seeing this taught me something my own parents never taught me clearly you just showed us how to look fabulous in our own hair in our own way..
