Ingredients:
for each 14cm diameter mold:
100g common white sugar
50ml of water
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Quesillo mixture for two 14cm molds or one 19cm diameter mold:
1 cup of condensed milk
6 medium eggs
250ml whole cow's milk (fresh milk)
30 g powdered milk
Vanilla essence to taste
Liquor to taste
Cake mixture for two 14cm molds or one 19cm diameter mold:
100 g of common white sugar
40 ml of neutral oil (sunflower, canola, corn)
2 medium eggs
75ml hot liquid milk (fresh milk)
1 teaspoon alcohol vinegar
125 g of self-rising wheat flour or you can substitute low strength flour (0000) plus 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
Vanilla essence to taste,
1 teaspoon baking soda,
Salt to taste,
Red coloring in paste, powder or gel.
You can also replace the 40ml of oil with 80g of pomade butter.
