This is a test of the Tommy Vic 6" mini chainsaw. I will be testing it on trimming branches and some heavier work. Product link: www.amazon.com... This video is part of the heating and cooling series of training videos made to accompany my websites: www.graycoolingman.com and www.grayfurnaceman.com to pass on what I have learned in many years of service and repair. If you have suggestions or comments they are welcome.
If you are a homeowner looking to repair your own appliance, understand that the voltages can be lethal, the fuels are highly flammable and high pressures are used. Know your limits.

I've tested a couple of these chainsaws and like them for their intended purpose. I used to use a recip saw with a pruning blade for light work. I much prefer a mini chainsaw. The recip saw would often just shake what I was cutting. The chainsaw works better since it cuts in one direction. These would be nice to have in a camper to cut up kindling and medium sized branches.

Cutta crap out some PVC too. I remember purchasing a DeWalt 16v cordless drill in 1996 $389 +tax. i purchased a cobalt 20v impact and 20v hammer drill 2 battery's for less than $200. Drill chuck got stuck. Found used hammer drill at flee market for $25 no battery but I had 2 purchased a small battery for tight places. I ordered off brand chuck that suposta be way better. I used to be a tool snob when I ran my shop. I sold all my snap on tools went to harbor freight same tool box was $4500 less thàn snap on box. I have only broken one Pittsburgh tool no repairs oo3 paper work. Go get another one sir..no pàper work nothing and I really broke it don't think snap on would hàve not broken either.

It's not made for 6 in wood. It's for trimming smaller branches.

When I test, I try to come up with an upper limit to what a tool can do. It performed well, just not enough battery to do more. On the other hand, if it had more battery, It might have burned up the motor. GFM

Does it come with a bayonet mount for a rifle?😁 It did pretty well on the 6" log.
