A recent review they drove the Mini EV until it stopped it drove 154 miles in normal driving conditions, when you buy a Mini you should already know about the back seats and small boot this is aimed at a certain customer base. I am sure you know with Mini/ BMW a lot of research and thought will have gone into this vehicle. I enjoyed watching the review good work looking forward to the next installment. PS the web site is slick I like it.
I ordered the Mini SE. It was basically an emotional decision. I liked that hot-hatch-feeling and the build quality. If you are just looking at the numbers there are better evs out there. It will be interesting to find out how much the limited range is effecting the daily driving experience.
@@TotallyEV Delivery of the car is expected Jan/Feb next year (I ordered it in July!). Colour will be green with white roof,- the classic combination. Here in Germany we have 4 trim levels of which my car will be the highest (S,M,L,XL). The main reason was the sunroof which unfortunately is only offered for the highest Level. I drove the Peugeot 208 as well which is a great car and also the new Fiat 500 could be a good choice but one reason for choosing the Mini was that the drivetrain comes from the BMW I3 and I expect it to be proven and reliable. Not sure if that will be the case with the brand new Fiat... . Nice an informative review! Looking forward to more of this!
@@peterblumbach6600 great choice; subjectively the green and yellow combination is absolutely fabulous - very original colours. And thanks for sharing; we're getting in the Fiat 500 Hybrid very soon, and have the e-2008 (different from the 208) and the Corsa-e scheduled for early 2021, too! Drivetrain wise; hard to say - as those you've reference haven't been mass-producing as long as BMW has with its i3 - time will tell. I ordered one for my wife, she has 28km round trip to work each day, the first 8km are on an 80kph road, which is a fun road to drive. Our existing small car has only been on one long drive in 9 years of ownership, the Mini should be perfect for what she needs it too do, along with a trip to her months every month or so which is an 80km round trip. I also have a BMW i4 40 on order for when we need to take longer trips or take the dog to the vet.
